I heard it still hasn't gotten better since the alpha.
And I was in the alpha and it was really really sad, even for an alpha.

Not true at all. It runs faster, the combat system has been redone, balance has been reworked, skills/attributes reworked, skills changed, and more features (including fast travel at spawn points, just this morning).

I tried it a month or two ago, for a day or two, and wasn't terribly impressed and stopped playing - the gameplay was just like every other MMO, and I just don't enjoy that (I was hoping for something different than the standard grindfest for items and pointless quests, earning XP to slowly level up your character).

It's known as the Oppai-Kaiju effect. The islands of Japan generate a sort anti-gravity field, which allows breasts to behave as if in microgravity. It's also what allows Godzilla and friends to become 50 stories tall, and lets ninjas run up the side of a skyscraper.

Well I just got a motorcycle since I subscribed once before the game went f2p so I assume it is now.

Interestingly, Armok's name actually originates from arm_ok, a variable in one of Toady's earlier games that kept track of how many of your arms weren't missing.

Is the game still an almighty never-ending crafting session? Having to constantly be crafting ammo got to be a pain in the ass, made worse by how weak guns were.

posting to follow, looks interesting... if now that it's f2p it isn't unbalanced by horrible shop items.

I'll have to get back to playing. I haven't tested the F2P. If we can get over level 10 I think I'm happy. I think the background crafting is fun, since it makes you think only about gathering materials and doesn't distract, too much, from fighting. Besides, ammo recipes make tons of ammo and you can buy it for cheap anyway.

I've been wanting to try this game out, but until it shows as free in the Steam store, I'm a bit skeptical as to if it's really F2P.

That's a pretty stupid comment like steam is some kind of internet guide for games.

Steam only makes games F2P on their service if they adapt their systems to use SteamWallet. That takes extra work most games do not do.

I just prefer my games on Steam. Don't call me stupid. Tilla, thanks for clearing that up and being polite about it. I'll give it a poke once I have my desktop back in commission, as I'm fairly sure it will make my laptop cry tears of blood.

now here's a problem.  The game says free to play, but the market still sells game time and it has a counter of the amount of game time you have left which upon registaring for me is 4 hours.  So I'm gonna make a shot and say either thier market is broken or it's f2p to a limited amount of time..
