Things Bay12ers can no longer do in a RPG

Inspired by a certain person who cannot do many things in RPG's either.

1. Even if our inquisitorial squad has enough mechanical body parts to build a robot army out of them, we cannot combine into a humongous mech.
2. If the Big Bad Evil Guy gets killed when we meet him or the first time, he won't be permanently dead. If necessary the whole thing retroactively never happened.
3. Problem Solving doesn't exclusively involve hitting the problem until it goes away.
4. Building a character around the concept of collateral damage, even if not frowned upon, is considered bad manners.
5. If we kill the vizier with no other reason than meta-knowledge, he will always turn out to be a good guy.
6. Same thing goes for the non-humans that we kill on a not-so-deserted island.
7. Unless they consent, a team member is not considered ammunition or a projectile.
8. Leaving an unnamed NPC for dead invokes bad karma and/or the wrath of the GM.
⑨. We will not try using powerful and dangerous magick without being at least somewhat competent at using it. Neither will we try to blow up the entire city with said magick.

I doubt that we can do it any better than Mr. Welch, honestly.


8 a. Leaving the plot crucial NPC for dead too


10. Anything on Mr. Welch's or Skippy's list is right out.
11. You may not edit the game's raws, even on a six.
12. Tacticus games may not be played during other games. This includes other tacticus games.

13. Unconscious does not equal consenting to throwing, either.
14. Diplomacy getting nowhere is not enough reason to make backstabbing a free action.
15. Magic Missile is not a valid fighter plane armament.
16. Killing the pre-french cavepeople will not make Space France unban us. it will just unmake Space France.

17. No matter the circumstance, we cannot attempt to turn the neutral-good cop into a theif.
18. Gnomes are not cannon fodder, in either the literal or implied sense of the phrase.
19. We may not play as a bardic band of half-orcs with bladder issues.
20. Tarran is not allowed to dual-wield anything within 50 feet of any party member.

22. No longer allowed to flood a cave with magma to skip that part of the story.

27: When the GM says that shooting a God with a pop-cap gun is a bad idea, you listen to him. Even if you roll a twenty, you still don't kill the God.
28: Sniping the obvious villain during negotiations while surrounded by his mooks will get you killed, no matter how many criticals you roll.
29: Murdering anything in the name of Armok makes the GM cry.
30: Do not hijack the game. A ontological mystery being turned into a urban fantasy makes the GM cry more. Doing 29 at the same time will make the GM suicidal.
31: No Bay12er can play as a dwarf ever again.
31.5: Especially if the game you are playing is a normal fantasy!

32. Nothing crafted may be Freudian in nature.
33. Nothing crafted may be eldritch in nature.
34. No matter how legal it is and how much we want to, we are not allowed to play as a half-pony.
35. Pointing out an obvious GMPC is disallowed. Killing him after doing so is especially disallowed.
