MyBrute

Now, I logged into MyBrute, which I hadn't played for ages due to all the spammers and general boredom, to check on my Brute a while a ago. I noticed a link to this new version of MyBrute, on a game site called Muxxu... While it is fairly optimized to force people to pay money to do well, without paying it is still a great bit of fun.
Hopefully some of the Bay12 community can join in, and we'll get some awesome rivalries and such going!

Anyway, here is my Brute. Don't expect to beat him... Sadly 'Yoink' was taken on Muxxu, so my username is Styok, too.

I feel silly playing this already. I lost my first match, but got the level anyway. I was presented with a choice-a dog or a +3 Speed buff. I took Speed. I got my ass handed to my by a woman with a pole. I'm pretty sure a dog would've helped.

Heh! Well, poles (or staffs) are pretty annoying weapons, as they can easily deflect the attacks of lower-agility characters. Or something. I dunno, but keep playing and see what other upgrades you can get; they vary pretty wildly, and some are in fact pretty plainly overpowered at low levels, like the massive grizzly bear I got.
But I think, in the lower levels, it's probably better to focus on stats and the like rather than weapons, even if it means getting beat a few times. Of course, if you're offered a really powerful pet, like a bear or wolf, you should probably take it.

Oh, and remember, you can have two Brutes without paying anything, so I recommend saving the extra slot til you've worked out the game a bit. I used mine already, not knowing there were only two.

I started with a guy I named Urist McFighter. Unfortunately he's a total wimp and crumples whenever he takes a single punch. Hopefully I can get a weapon to take advantage of speed ability later.

I stay away from MyBrute personally... It is one of those Pyramid Scheme games.

Yeah, I know... But there is quite a lot of fun to be had, still! I figured if a bunch of Bay12ers started playing, and competing with each other, we could have a lot more fun.
Why don't you guys post (or PM) each other your Muxxu usernames, then we can all friend up!

Muxxu? I don't know, as far as I knew it was still quite a new site.
Oh, you do need to make a new Muxxu account, if that's what you mean! Old brutes should be still saved on the old mybrute.com website, or whatever it's called.

From the Team tab, you can retire them, but I'm not sure if that frees up the slot or not.
