Quote
Research is done on the juvenile crabs. They appear to be quite passive actually, showing no real aggression- true to their herbivorous nature. Their legs are arranged in a row going down their tail, each with a single claw facing inward. This configuration is obviously geared towards attaching them to something. Their two front claws ferry food to their mouth, but it doesn’t seem that they are quite interested in the algae brought to them. They will eat it, but reluctantly. The crab’s back carapace is quite tough and is lightweight enough to be used as armor or tools. The underside is made of a soft and flexible armor, like the kind that binds its joints. Once shed, the crab’s carapace keeps its hardness but becomes partly transparent. The shells from the bottom of the cell could be used for armor or a coloring substance (the larva retain the color of food fed to them in their shells).
Floatstone shielding is tested by Ehndras and his assistants. The floatstone by itself is too fragile to be more than just a one-time use shield. However, with a protective coating on the outside of the shield and a buffer with the floatstone, a heavily shock-absorbent shield could be made. Most of the thorns are much too long to be used effectively on the shields, and you have no way of attaching them yet.

Back in the Eel’s Road, the scouting party is equipped with a few of the one-use shields that were created during testing; these are given to the units in front of the advance team. They slowly work their way deeper into the tunnel. After traveling a good distance, they hear something farther in and feel a vibration in the water! They stand their ground and raise their shields to defend from the front, poking their spears through the cracks in the shields. What do?!

Eel's Road Scouting Party:

With shields interlocked and metal spears jutting from the wall of stone("Stonewall" shield formation), the Ul'mare shall cautiously advance forward. When they reach a fork or an opening in the defensible tunnel they will enter into an "Armadillo" Formation and move back-to-back with shields at front and flank as an armored ball. The men hope that these interlocking shield formations will allow our defenses to absorb some impact as the force will travel through multiple shields, rather than impact one or two shields overwhelmingly. The men know not to split apart as they will remain safe only in numbers. When the creature ahead is spotted the Ul'mare scouts shall assess its potential for danger. If friendly, cautiously approach and attempt to communicate. If neutral/skittish, stand back and observe it while searching the area for interesting geology and materials. If it is aggressive/hostile/dangerous, assess whether it can be brought down, and where its weak spots may lie. If an attack is feasible then do so with agility and precision in the true Ul'mare ways. Our spears may be simple and our shields fragile, but the Ul'mare are small, fleeting, and precise! Let us prove our mettle and show that we are not to be trifled with!

Kye'raeon Capitol Orders

Ehndras shall create simple spiked barricades from harvested thorns. A small spiked barricade consists of 4 total thorns, two sets of 2 thorns tied together into X shapes using silkweed. An improvised thorn barricade could be made from 3 thorns, but is not very practical. The more efficient large thorn barricade would be made from 10 thorns in X shapes tied together with silkweed. Three small barricades shall be made to be deployed in the Eel's Road later on. ((Small should block 1 hex, large should block 2-3 hexes, in other words, the front or back entrance of Kye'raeon))

The rest of the Ul'mare at Kyeraeon will be tasked with gathering silkweed for nets, thorns for throwing javelins and barricades, weaving more nets to capture food and shells, and standing by in case the Scout Team needs backup at Eel's Road. Also, have Ehndras and our 2 specialists design some armor from the crab shells we've gathered all over the place into sets of armor, and produce as many as we can up to about 10-15. Between the holding cells, scavenged shells, netted shells, and shells left over after eating, we should have quite a stockpile of assorted shells for crafting.

Besides that, the Ul'mare are left to Fate, and their own desires.

((Did I really just give the GM a free pass to do whatever comes to mind and not define my actions by the letter? I must be going insane :P))

(I imagined lofani as birthing 4-10 offspring each time but regular breeding will suffice.)

Investigate this smoke beyond the cliffs.

Send scouts to the south of the chasm.

Begin construction of warrens within Deephome. Equip lofani to dig them.

Place the crystals within the Pod.

See if the Bone Craftsman can make out shields/armour from the rock oyster shells. If yes, do so.

Start organised mining operations within the crevice where we found the lapiz lazuli. Just make them mine the walls of the rock.

Investigate the sands of the seaweed area closer; there must be creatures hiding under the sand. Kill anything that looks like it could be killed with spears and cannot kill a lofani.

Continue with the plan, but only with the fish offspring (as in fry).

NEW ACTIONS

Explore the final, large crevice/cavern. Bring some picks and bullets.
Test the Lapis the same way we did with the Quartz.

          - Bullets (67)

Did you mean they disappeared or some vanished? You went from 49 bullets to 67 due to the Lofani producing them.

You could try searching for fish fry instead of the adults themselves. Your plan would probably work for the fry-sized ones.

Have the Flannigans continue building the homes then send some scouts north to explore and if theres any free time look for some small fish to hunt.

The philosopher-scientist Yaffi will assemble and test various plans for a smithy while the scouts step up hunting and scavenging in all patrolled areas, aided by the patrol group.
The construction group continue to follow orders to expand, after having recovered from their labors.
The remaining Yaffi will roof over the main entrance, attempting to camouflage the entrance and hide Coilhome.

Visionary Yaa will personally assist with the smelter prototypes.

I'm assuming the "Matrix" is basically like a hanger facility.

Begin building up a few layers of pyberium over the command crystal, with the matrix attached on the bottom and covered in a short trapezoidal tube that is at a 10 degree angle facing fore, with the facility itself right in the beginning of the tube, then begin on the fore part (Structural, nothing over the superstructure. I'm going to be installing things there.) of the ship, which is a triangle with the most extreme angle the farthest part fore. Begin producing another matrix, that will also be put in a trapezoidal tube and placed so that it and the other one make a hexagon with each other. And keep producing formers.

(I may do a google sketch image for it, it's rather hard to describe.)

((Oh, I was assuming that the fastest way to build something in a complex manner from a constantly growing crystalline substance would be to use a sort of outline that the crystal would grow over, rather than having the Pyroids shape each individual one. This would allow for more of the same identical ships faster. But, yeah it would be something like a hangar facility constructed for churning out a crystalline ship that is exactly the same as the last one. Or it could be used to build an outline, with modifications added by hand after the base is finished.))

No problem, I actually haven't done the turn yet. I tend to do it when there are 2~3 people left to post their stuff, all in one sitting.
