I'm pretty sure the real airport in real life is just an overgrown runway and some hicks with planes: Thompson pass airport. But Valdez pioneer airport is the closest somewhat major airport, about 80 miles from Tonsina. Technically, our character doesn't know this though.

Wow. I honestly wasn't expecting this point to come so soon, and now I'm kind of wondering where we should go with this... I mean, we can't just persuade one of these pilots to fly us straight to the southern hemisphere... can we?

Well, if there were no other passengers on the plane. If you just hijacked a passenger plane, people would probably start suspecting something... It is Alaska and there are probably little tour planes all over the place though, all you'd need to worry about is refueling.

I just did a google search of all 1990 ufo sightings, and there were none (reported/important enough to mention) in Alaska, so I vote we go to Roswell to figure out why we were left here.

Just because there were no sightings doesn't mean there wasn't a landing

I'd like to concur to a certain degree with the 'investigate previous landings/crashes' angle. Specifically, getting access to an internet connection for research purposes. Longer term, we could consider gearing up and infiltrating Area 51 to try and find something that might spark memories, or possibly some sort of long-range communicator or ship.

I don't believe internet technology was very extensive in 1990.

I say we try and locate a cargo plane full of elk meat heading as far south as we can. We can hide in the cargo hold if we bring enough water.

You agree to ride with the human further down the path into Tonsina. You ride until you reach a long stretch of road extending in each direction. The highway crosses over a river, on the other side lies the small town of Tonsina. Cars drive past every so often. The only way to get to the other side is to swim or to cross the bridge.
