You lift the old human and gently lay him in his bed, as if he expired in his sleep. In the bedroom are a pair of boots, size 12's. They seem to fit, albeit compressing your toes. A small drawer stands next to the bed, you open it and find a map:

Ok, come on, pull yourself together, South America's not that far away...

Check the outside off the cabin for foot prints as the sun rises, to assess the normal traffic of humans. If there is snow on the ground, find a good evergreen branch and sweep the ground of my own tracks. See if the cabin has a loft or attic to rest in and search for a portable shelter device or one of those fuzzy sleeping tubes- oh, what're they called..? Condoms..?

Was kindof hoping you would be at the stage in the game where the government would be chasing the alien around in helicopters at this point.

Oh well, ill be back later.

Alaska? A reptile/alien in Alaska?
Take all the humans warm clothes. Cause we're cold-blooded.

I thought it would be pretty warm in august in Alaska. It gives the added challenge of, "Escape before winter" too.

While we rest, we should keep watch and be ready to leave in case another human comes. On a side note, we could use the hunting knife to cut off the toes of the boots so they would work better. Does the guy have a computer or any books? We might be able to find clues as to where we are if we look at what he's been reading. If he's a hunter (he has a hunting rifle/knife) he may have some sort of local hunting license. It could tell us what borough we're in.

Just as light from the sun rise begins to shine through the window and the fire smolders on the hearth, you settle down to rest. Your eyes open and you find yourself lying down on an icy cold surface, you know this place. Two individuals move to stand over you. You try to move, but you're restrained. They pull down a large syringe... You're in the cabin again, the daylight shines through the window, you've been out of it for a while. Before you leave, the old man must have had some kind of identification with him... you find a small leather pouch, inside is some human money and an id card. There's another card, a hunting license, registered to Valdez Alaska.
You step outside the cabin. You hadn't noticed this the night before, but there's a trail leading from the house into the woods. There's also a small shed down the path.

Since we aren't too far north, this could make escaping the frigid winters a bit easier.

Try to determine the time based on the sun, then head for that shed.

Ok ok ok
------------------------
Before your trek, you take your knife and cut up the boots, allowing your long reptilian toes enough room to spread out. You walk down the path to the small shed, the door creaks open and reveals: An atv, an axe, and some tools.

But what about the time of day?

Examine the ATV, Check what the tools are.

Noon.

You take a look at the atv, the tank is half full. There are no other fuel containers inside the shed. The tools are: some power tools (drills, a nail gun, a sander), some hand saws, and a tool box full of wrenches, pliers, and other cutting instruments.

If we wanted to use the ATV, we would have to roll it a decent distance away and erase the tracks as we go. It'll probably be one of the most obvious signs we were here and also very easy to track (meaning if we take it, we have to ditch it soon and cover it up).

We definitely want the axe, but not the power tools. Take the biggest handsaw the human has, a wrench, a pair of pliers, and a wire-cutter if he has one. Also look for a fishing rod (this will be helpful) and maybe a tackle box (if we're lucky). Otherwise, take a broom from the house to use in place of a rod. We can use string from any clothes he has as the thread.

In one thing I was reading, they attached a weighted tarp or cloth to the back of their vehicle so it dragged and eliminated tracks. It would have to be light enough not to make a big indent when we move, but heavy enough to smooth out the ground.

Put into this light, Dr. Robotnik and Armok could easily have been roommates.
