You are an Earth-stranded Alien! Suggestion game
« on: August 08, 2011, 01:58:33 pm »

I had an idea for a suggestion game and since my other one fizzled out and was abandoned (by me mainly), I've decided to start another one  :D.
---------------------------------------------------
You will take the role of a humanoid Reptilian alien who's been exiled by his own kind to planet Earth, and you must survive. Your species communicates via telepathy, this gives you the ability to influence weaker willed beings to a degree. Much of your memory has been erased, but the others saw fit to equip you with an understanding of most Earth languages and writing. Your species has studied and observed Earth for a few centuries, since Human population began rising drastically at the beginning of their industrial age and the Humans' recent use of Nuclear weapons. You also know that the current date according to certain Earth calendars is the 8th of August, 1990.

You've just awoken from paralysis, surrounded by tall pine trees, and on a steep hill. The position of the moon indicates night, although you can see the light pollution emitted by a nearby Human settlement.

We should climb a tree and see if there is any light or smoke visible. Try and find some campgrounds.

You recollect yourself and stand, your muscles still ache from the paralysis. The feeling starts to return to your numb body, you can feel the thick undergrowth of the forest on the soles of your feet. To get a better idea of your surroundings, you decide to climb one of the tall pine trees. One arm after another, you soon find yourself gripping the treetop, you can now survey the canopy and surrounding area.

From what you can see, you're situated in a valley. The other side is a few miles across. By the looks of it, there is a human community on the other side of the valley, the lights are visible from here. A river runs through the valley, straddled on both sides by road. You look over the rest of the valley and see nothing of note, all the rest is shrouded in night. You descend the tree and return to ground level.

Use what limited telepathy we have to hunt down some food.

Forgot to mention that (along with some other things too probably). Your species is solely carnivorous, relying on domestic animals to feed the population.

After finding some food, we should head towards the humans.

Well, knowing the innate human xenophobia, and that we are reptilian I don't beleive we will get much of a warm welcome, especially since we're nude. I suggest waiting on the outskirts of the town/city/village for someone we can either mug or dominate to get some shrowding clothing.

^(OOC) The way I see it is, most of your superior knowledge is dormant along with your memory. Your fellow reptilians saw fit to leave you here for whatever you did, but also as some sort of experiment.
--------------------
(IC)
You're hungry. You've never felt this feeling as intense as it is now, you never had to worry about food where you came from. As you examine your options, a piercing call echoes through the forest. The sound is totally alien to you, you've never heard anything so loud. You hear the noise again and can pinpoint its location. Down the hill is an elk, in a distressed state. You reach out with what little telepathic energy you can muster to confuse and disorient the elk. It collapsed to the ground, writhing. You deliver a blow to it's neck, killing it instantly. There is no harm in eating the raw meat, so you devour some of the carcass. Your mental reserves have been nearly depleted by this effort, but you continue onwards through the forest. A few hours into your trek, you spot a small wooden building. As far as you know, the main human settlement you saw earlier is miles further. A dim light is on inside this building, will you proceed?

A base of operations... head inside and search the place.

You creep up to the side of the small wooden home. A very dim light flickers through a window. You peer inside: A fireplace illuminates the whole room. There is a table, a chest, a few chairs, and a door to another room. You step around to the front door and slowly ease it open. You step inside and tread across the hardwood floor. On the table is a primitive weapon, a rifle. You could check the other room, search the room further, take the rifle, leave, or any combination of those.

Thought so, least it wasn't aimed at us. Grab the weapon and search the other room.

What if we took all the ammo from the rifle and search for other weapons? Then we can wait until the human comes back while we rejuvenate our mental abilities. When we "greeted" him, he wouldn't be able to attack us and we could communicate.
