So I have a squad of 3 soldiers, assigned to train in schedule, and I gave them a barracks, but when I look at what they ae doing, its always Independant Combat Drill. How do I get them to spar?

Is the squad active? You need to manually activate them to carry out the schedule you gave them (default training all year) in the alerts screen.

Im looking at the alert screen. How do I switch a sqauds alert?

Just highlight Active/Training in the allert column, then go to the squads column, select a squad and press enter. They should then follow the schedule laid out for them.
