Marvelous pigmentsWhy It's Ridiculous:Marvelous pigments can be used to create a number of mundane items totaling up to 1000 cubic feet in volume, so long as none of the items created by the pigments are worth more than 2000 gold. 2000gp worth of iron (with iron helpfully being listed as 1sp per pound) is 10 tons, or 40.7 cubic feet of iron, well within the limits for a single use of the pigments. Bugs here will spend 10 minutes (from hiding, of course) to produce this 10 ton iron weight (helpfully labeled with the engraving "ACME 10 TON WEIGHT" above the heads of an offending encounter, village, or wabbit hunter.
According to the falling object rules, a falling object of 200lbs or greater falling at least 10' deals 1d6 damage per 200lbs, to a maximum of 20d6 damage for being hit by a 2 ton object. Assuming they survive that, the cave-in rules state that being buried alive causes 1d6 nonlethal damager per minute spend buried until the buried individuals are uncovered, followed by 1d6 lethal damage per minute (DC 15 fort save to negate) if they pass out from the nonlethal damage. According to the carrying capacity rules (and generously assuming that being crushed under a 10 ton weight does not constitute "bad circumstances" for the purposes of lifting heavy objects), a medium sized character requires a strength score of at least 37 to push or drag the weight 5 ft. as a full round action. They may alternatively attempt to cut themselves out by dealing 30 damage per inch, after accounting for the hardness of 10 enjoyed by pure iron. Helpfully, the iron weight almost certainly counts as "Colossal" and thus has an AC of -3, making it extremely easy to hit. Hope they packed adamantine weapons!
