It'd take a little while, but I don't see a reason why not.

It's up to R&D to decide which tech to research first, but unless we're at risk of loosing planets to influence any time soon, I'd go with the NRDL first. It's no use having planetary invasion if they can just swat our transports, and we can always blow up a planet or two if they have too much influence.

War Council

Sometimes, I hate being right.
Smug bastard comments aside, I have to agree with our current strategy. What level is our logistics tech at? If we can swarm them with phoenix's now, it's better than nothing. I have to go return a moving truck now, so god speed El Presidente Max Powers! Let's burn us some smug influence peddling Krynn!

I wish someone from R&D would post. I'm genuinely unsure which way to go first: Produce the NRDL (requires me to finish miniaturization and do some quick point defense; cheap techs) or go for planetary invasion and rely on the Phoenixes to defeat Krynn ships. Either way, things are gonna get bloody.

1)Planetary invasion
2)XENO FARMS technology (more of it)
3)MORE XENO FARMS technology (still more of it)
4)Xeno influences/economics. (the influence-raiser which adds influence increase modules to the starbases A MUST)
5)Increase population, increase population, increase population.

We should probably focus on the war effort before branching out into peacetime techs.

By definition that makes you a fan since you still buy them.

I think one problem is that we're not using enough diplomacy.  We should be trading weapon techs with the Arceans and minor civilizations.  The Arceans are usually quite good at war tech, and they seem weak enough that it won't come back to bite us; minor civilizations are basically harmless, even if they appear as the Dark Yor or something.

I'd be very careful with the normal Yor.  They're very militant and likely to attack anyone.  That said, we need allies.  But I'd advise against trading them any war tech, unless we're going pure evil (which looks unlikely from the poll).

I'd like to hear from the Diplomatic Corps.

Sigh, back to my own job...

S.P.Y. Network
First, note that many requested jobs of my agents are probably better handled by scout craft, which I don't handle.  For instance, navy size and location can be determined by looking at the map, sending ships to investigate, and extrapolating from the power graphs.

Second, note that spies are exponentially more expensive, and therefore their use needs to be maximized.

As for the Krynn, since we have changed from trying to influence them to trying to kill them, I'd suggest factories and financial centers as the goals for our spies.  Perhaps their relative lack of war vessels and constant wars may have resulted from financial desperation, which I hope my agents assisted.

I've actually been holding most spies in reserve (got five, last I checked). Once war breaks out, I will send most of them to attack financial buildings and stuff like that, to weaken the Krynn. Sadly, since the Krynn are spy masters, many will likely perish in the line of duty.

I cannot wait to see how we fare in a war situation. When can we expect the update?

War Comitee

EuchreJack Makes a valid point. We should be focusing most of our scouting ships (all of the one you guys built me) on figureing out basic size and location of the Krynn's ships. We don't want to declare war to find out the majority of their fleet is orbiting a planet next door.

War probably won't be declared this update. I want to get the invasion tech first, and spend time building as many warships and transports as possible. Once hostilities break out, all of the currently defenseless worlds will start producing defenders. The first strike must be decisive.

Speaking of update, I will be finishing the playing shortly. The actual update will be made as soon as possible afterward.

That makes sense.  If you'd like to save our spies for other nations, I'd be ok with that.  Hopefully, we will not be the first to use spies against Krynn, in which case it might cost more for Krynn than us.

OK! Some screenshots may be missing thanks to X-fire crashing, but the year is over! Update will be posted as soon as I can get everything written. Things may be even worse than anticipated!

(Seems to be an LP tradition, especially for games like these  :P )
