It seems to me that there is always a problem on the internet about culture. General people assume that people on the internet are from the same country/culture as they are, and so people will call out on somebody else because they have awful grammar, but maybe that person lives on the other side of the world and knows only basic English. I've been learning Spanish for 3 years, but I bet if I went on a Spanish-speaking forum and tried to post stuff my spelling and grammar would be terrible.

Well,i really started with the left foot...playing halo
yeah,it was fun times...i LOVED halo,i wassn't the regular kid...i REALLY loved it,i wanted to know everything about the elites,i drawed them everyday,i wanted to see the story of the jackals adn the grunts,i even knew their actual names (the race names,like Sangheili (elites))

So i posted on the Bungie forums,those were the first forums i ever visited...and like every fps based forum...things went wrong,hehehe.

What you say about culture is quite true...actually sometimes is the other way around (im not going to cover it up with false names,i'll say acutal nationalities) Americans think other people are americans most of the time,and im not critizicing,because people from less known countries usually also asume people on the internet are mostly americans (well,because they mostly are) but that can cause problems...

Yeah. This is a pity, because the number one way to have people respect you is to type well and to have good grammar. Honestly, being from Mexico just makes this whole situation harder to deal with. 
I'm American, and I don't pretend to speak any other languages, so you are miles ahead of me, but people respect me plenty for being a kid who they can actually stand to be around. Of course, now I'm 16, which seems to be the point where you are not a kid anymore and you start just being an average internet person, so I'm mostly through that stage.

On the Internet:
People pre-judge you based on your mental age.

I don't think judging somebody based on their mental capability is 'pre-judging'. People will get their first impression of you from your avatar. Then they will read your post. If you come across as a different 'mental-age', it's because they either have a favourable or unfavourable opinion of you as a person, and it has already been educated.

The community on the Bungie forums is one of the worst I have known. Sometimes I go there to read threads for fun just because of how everyone acts.

I personally think the internet way is far more fair and realistic.

The only problem is that in the internet i've known many places where they do pre-judge you for your mental age, but if they know your age,even though they know you can handle things like normal, they just have to say "sorry, we don't accept X year olds, you'll have to go"

I think your fellow human beings can be forgiven for not having the will or the obligation to conduct a thorough investigation of your character, choosing instead to rely on sensible generalities to cull troublemakers. Children, by the very definition of the word, are not fully developed, and, while there may be some rare exception, they can be expected to make poor decisions and lack social skill. You think that it isn’t fair that you should be judged and barred because of your age, but I would neither think it fair that people playing games to relax (possibly after having been actually working at a job) should have to sort through legions of cretins and boors just so you can play.

Being judged and barred because of age is unreasonable I would say. When I was 12 I had a few dudes who I consistently played online Halo with and they all wanted me on their team, I came out 1st in almost every round. After every round or so I would get 2-3 friend requests because people were impressed by my playing. 2 years later it's no different. Age should have nothing to do with online play, maturity should. If you don't like what others are saying, mute them.

Then, upon a second and more attentive reading of my post, you will be very happy to learn that I never said that all children are annoying cretins.

And I know 'children' are annoying, anytime I play an online game I mute everyone. Being judged and barred because of age is unreasonable I would say.

You tell me that they are not all annoying, then you say that you know that they are annoying, but then you say that to judge and bar them is wrong. The least you could do is be consistent.

The age and maturity are inextricably intertwined.

If you don't like what others are saying, mute them.

If you think them likely to be disruptive, better still to keep them out in the first place.
