Cacame Awemedinade Monípalóthi, Led Shakeoars.

It's not without precedent. Occasionally a civ will take over another civ's site, which will make the inhabitants a part of the conquering civ, thereby allowing them to rule.

I think it's the way towns develop now. In the beginning, people move into a town. Then they start producing tables, which results in more and more tables. Soon tables represent a significant portion of the population, they start lobbying for new laws and regulations, putting people to greater and greater disadvantage...

<single tear>

She truly is a dwarf!  Drowning would be a waste.  You just need to find a way to weaponize her and get her up front with the militia during sieges.

Maybe she's not that kind of Queen.
Train her in a kennel.
On the other hand, kinky.

I think generally the King and Queen have no likes or dislikes, so they never make mandates or demands anyway.

My idea for the queen is to assign her to a "Pasture" inside the fortress, that contains appropriate survival items (specifically food, booze, and a bed).

Given current events, I've altered my profile pic and I'm sorry it took so long to fix. If you find the old one on any of my accounts elsewhere on the internet, let me know by message (along with the specific site) and I'll fix. Can't link the revised avatar for some reason.

Yeah I've noticed monarchs don't seem as fully fleshed out as normal dwarfs. They don't seem to have likes and I've not noticed mandates before.

Monarchs don't have likes and dislikes because they are historical figures. Only dwarves who took no part in world gen (your migrants, original embark, and fortress born dwarves) have likes and dislikes.

I'm picturing a crudely-drawn Queen Elizabeth bending over eating a young fungiwood while a couple dwarf miners look on in confusion.
