Siege safely in cage but still shows up as siege

Does a siege have to be fully killed off? I did script kill a bat thing that might be causing problems...

How can I hack a siege to be discontinued?

Also should mention.. bring like 10 dogs when you embark seriously. Tore apart a giant badger. And then a cyclopse while I was cleaning after a siege... My animal trainer happened to walk near him. Only lost 2 dogs. The dogs grabbed the cyclopse by the head and shook him around.

Whoops looks like the one above me had very close to the same problem... shoulda read that.
