Well I was going to go to TI3 but the ticket are 200$ already so yeah 

I managed to snag 2, but it was more luck than anything.  I was f5ing the store page for an hour.  Scalpers should be shot.

Sadly that's how it is for almost any major ticket to anything.

I think even PAX and Blizzcon sell out in minutes.

Yeah, scalpers are douchebags. Too bad there is almost no way to stop them other than to do something like force photo id for every ticket.

It was 5v2.5 the pudge and bat abandon pretty early and the jug did later so it was my team vs a pl that got more gold and xp vs a team with no carry was truly hell.

Some of them are totally random, like the biggest critical strike, but I think I might get at least 8 points out of my small kwnoledge of the pro scene.

Also, we are really close to the first stretch goal. At this rate, we might even get the third one.

Seeing that i cant aford to get a compendium, im going to play grinch here. Isnt the compendium basically beting? shouldnt it be for 18+ or something?

There's no gambling involved - you can't make any money off the Compendium. You can make guesses as to cretain outcomes, but it's not gambling if there's no rewards (besides virtual 'points' with no actual value).

Compete with other fans for fun and bragging rights by predicting match outcomes and stats. Receive virtual item drops while watching matches. Best of all, have your say in assembling the 2013 All Star team.

The only real rewards are earned by purchasing the compendium (booster, courier, etc), not from your success with match prediction.

Oh lord this battlepoint modifier lasts for 96 days.

Apparently it increases the chances of you finding items per match by 225% as well.

There's really no reason not to get the compendium, even if you don't care about the tournament.  96 day points bonus /and/ item boost, plus a customizable courier, more items for watching Dota, and a shot at that immortal item.  For ten dollars.

If Venomancer is most deaths, they are playing it wrong. Gale, Touch and Nova deal slow, so you can run away safely, and if all else fails, just juke a forest and block with a ward. Problem solved.
