Just had a few WTF-mode matches against bots.  Learned a couple things.

Curse of the Silent stacks.  So does Weave.

Bots have no idea how to react to WTF-mode, and so Sven, CK, DP and anyone who builds manta will stop themselves from actually doing anything because they're too busy spamming their ability.  Razor sort of has this problem, but since Eye of the Storm also stacks it means he creates a field of gruesome death around him wherein everything melts in seconds.

Ahahaha...  Heck, they actually buffed that too?  I talked with a friend about a theoretical Refresher build on Razor after I found out that it stacks.  He actually went on to use it in pub games, something I never dared to do.

Of course, looking at the values on the Dotawiki...  Apparently, over the course of the full duration, Aghanim Eye deals 5300 damage.  Of course, that's physical, so it's reduced by armor, which it reduces by one for every one of the 85 strikes it has.  Times two, that's a hilarious amount of damage, although your chances of aiming everything on one target are slim to none.  At least it doesn't have a per-target max like Luna's ult.

Also works just fine with Assault Cuirass, since that actually lowers the armor of buildings too.

Actually, Eye of the Storm is 100% guaranteed to target the weakest target in the AoE, weakest meaning lowest HP. So, most of the time, every hit will target the same enemy, unless someone else is dying even faster.

Right, but that still requires you to have the same target in the area of effect, and not have someone deader stroll by.  Like, say, a creep.

Meatshields to the rescue!

Also, does anyone know if they fixed the thing where if you swapped from ranged to melee while an axe was in mid-air, you could proc a bash with a ranged attack with Troll Warlord?

So how do you enable 5x mode with bots? It seems rather fun.

You'll have to host a custom server.

Not sure how to do that.

Still in low priority thanks to my net connection, played a bot game.

Team consisted of Luna (random), Doom, Shadow Fiend (random), Sniper, and me...  Storm Spirit (also random).

I'll just say straight out that I suck with SS.  It also doesn't help having a touchpad when you need to make lightning fast precision clicks.  I held up relatively well in lane, but that trailed off as no one had bought a courier so I couldn't bottlecrow or get any new items.  Plus, y'know...  Banebot.

Then I decided it was time to gank.  I went down to bot to sniff out Tiny and Drow Ranger.  I zap in, throw the overload, rope Tiny, throw...

And then I was wondering why it was taking so long for the rest of my commands to go through.  Then I saw that Tiny was just sitting in midair, and I was walking in place.  Yup, I had DCed again.  Of all the ridiculous times...

Thankfully the net came back not too long after, so I managed to come back in without it counting as yet another abandon.  And, apparently, I'd actually managed to get the kill while disconnected.  That was pretty much my one shining moment that game, as Tiny spent the rest of the match utterly stomping my face while Doom afk-jungled for his radiance.  Seriously, I walked PAST the guy while I had Tiny in tow, it could've been the easiest gank ever.  But, nope...  He was busy.  So I died.  A lot.

Then Shadow Fiend went AFK long enough for the game to count as an abandon, we lost our mid rax, but eventually Luna (who was Russian) won the game for us by being actually competent.  Sniper didn't understand the concept of "Low health".  Particularly not in regards to "The enemy team has Zeus.  Be careful".

EDIT:  Oh, yeah, and I'm also being hounded by a clingy Bosnian every time we're online at the same time.

EDIT2:  Some more random facts 'n' such...  If Nyx has Last Word cast on him, activating Spiked Carapace will take effect after the damage and silence, so it will not reflect that damage.  Furthermore, certain orb attacks such as Silencer's glaives deal two separate instances of damage (one his normal physical attack, the other the pure damage from the orb).  This means that while they are inflicted at principally the same time, Spiked Carapace will only reflect one of the two instances.

Aww yeah this was a great game of DotA.

AR, we got all caster team, they got The Troll. We knew it was a race for time. From 20min on it was mad push to their base. We all died in that push (but we got rax).

They got Aegis. They pushed into our base and got our rax. I thought it was gg. But somehow we killed them all. Then we went to push and failed, then they went to push and failed.
This happened more than once. You can guess who won the game ;).

They should have bought more pipes.

Ogre had unusually high skill in this game. 4xmultis flying like noone's business.

Also my teammates were pretty GOOD (even tho russian). I commended them all, it was really a nice break from shitty games.

So here I am, logging into the Bay12 Forums.  I'm not sure whether to feel happy about this, or sullenly admit the loss of what little remained of my soul after all of this Fun.  So much Fun.  So, so much Fun.  <shudders>
First things first.  You're all soulless husks of what might have once been decent human beings, drafted into a sort of moral apartheid from your better natures in the pursuit of things made out of cute animals.  I love it.

Currently watching Dignitas vs. Na'Vi, waiting for game three...  Dignitas absolutely stomped Na'Vi in game one with a 14-minute gg, then game 2 started off and Dignitas were dominating again.  Teamwipe Na'Vi a couple times, it looks like it's all over...  And then...

Dignitas just forgets what they were doing completely.  Na'Vi freefarms massively for a while and picks off all the aimlessly wandering lone Dignitas players before pulling a teamfight on their terms and wiping them.  Not entirely sure what happened there.  Dignitas had the game, pure and simple.  No pushing, no concerted efforts, not even something as banal as ancient stacking...  They just stopped to smell the roses.

EDIT:  Dignitas wakes up a little bit for the third game, but then they manage to completely fluff an offensive trilane and then lose all map control to Na'Vi.  Almost made a comeback, too, but it just wasn't enough...

Me and my friend tried Natures Prophet and Treant Protector today in successive games.  It's a really amazing combo.  Up until level 6 or so, Treant keeps everything under control just by being on the map, making sure that everyone gets leveled if not fed.  Around that time NP is ready to come out of the jungle and push towers whenever the enemy team leaves lane.  Split pushes by the enemy wont go anywhere and if the enemy pushes hard for a tower NP and TP can both offer aid anywhere on the map.  So the enemy needs to get to later levels before they can start pushing towers while you just knock them down over and over again.

Late game you need your teammates to carry because Treant is basically worthless and NP is weak.  But your teammates should be fed by that point with that delicious delicious tower gold and all their farming.  And with your creep waves pushed so far forward your team will have an easy time finishing off buildings.  Meanwhile the enemy team is going to have a much harder time farming because a couple of wards shuts half the map off to them and sets up easy ganks.

It's a pretty situational/niche usage, but it might be worth mentioning that Treant is basically a free smoke for the jungle.  With a 4-second cooldown and a 60-second duration, he can hide the entire team in short order.  And that's with actual invis, not this dispel-at-1100-range nonsense.

...you kinda need to stick to the trees, though, which somewhat defeats the usage.
