Can't fool countries into thinking we're a democracy? Sleazy politics begs to differ. All we need are some unfortunate accidents to kill our competitors while we host a charity for war orphans. That kind of thing gets old over time, so we can mix things up by just threatening our competition out of the race. Of course, it's always good to back up such threats - we don't want to make liars out of ourselves. And then we can always go for the mud-slinging approach. The more true the mud, the better the sling.

So long as we do the right good things at the right times, our good should overshadow our heinous actions.

Well im just saying, I haven't heard of any countries that pretended to be a democracy when they were actually a dictatorship. But I digress, just expect that when the countries do find out (And trust me, they will) they'll try to beat the shit out of you.

I'm looking for a certain real life example as we speak... sort of. Probably shouldn't make such a big promise before finding it.

Edit: Peter Mandelson of Britain. I know nothing about him other than that apparently he's a prince of darkness called Mandy who used to run Britain, got involved in scandals, left, and then came back. A bit different from our situation, but I'm sure we can rise to the occasion.

Im not preventing you guy's from fixing elections and making people think that there is actually a democracy, but the people will eventually find out, then the other countries will find out.

This is why I want massive amounts of propaganda. We can fix the election by brainwashing all of the people and still win the election fairly through legitimate votes from the people.

I think that alarms the western world more than fixing the votes.

Of course, we could just be voted in once, as president for life.

Or...(This sounds crazy I know).. We could be a good, just, generous ruler who does the best for the nation...And still be ruler for life. We could be like Peter II of Russia or Catherine of Russia and try to be enlightened about our actions....Also we could be like the Spanish king, being good and nice and get a sweet palace.

In short, we could be loved by our country and the world if we actually try to act nice. And we can still have an autocratic state with us a permanent ruler! If I remember, Oman is something like this (somewhat)
