I was really impressed with some clips i saw of the graphical overhaul mods. i believe it was called Morrowind 2011.

I have only ever played Morrowind vanilla so I can't give any advice out of personal experience.

I've been running Morrowind with those patches for awhile now. You get a lot of error messages when you start it up, but they don't seem to affect gameplay at all. Loading times are a little longer, which is predictable.

A few minor issues, but well worth it.

Here are a few I've found that could be good:

Minions of House Dagoth: http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=6732
Overrun Dagoth Ur Facility: http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=6573
Deadly Dagoths: http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=9160
Great House Dagoth: http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=801

I've only played with the first 2 mods and they worked fine for me, the other 2 I've never used before

Ok, cool. I recommend getting Morrowind Graphics Extender and increasing the view distance greatly and dropping LOD to -1. Don't go too crazy with what this program can do or you'll have single digit framerates in no time. Experiment to see what you can do and still remain playable. Those two are a minimum for good looking pictures, though.

Get an Herbalism mod of some sort such as this one. Make sure to get the "pearl bug fix" a little lower on the page. It's like the fourth comment. Also, run the program that comes with this mod or you'll get nasty bugs. It just registers a BSA. If you want help doing this manually, I'll be glad to help. Just PM me.

Get either Wakin's Game Improvements or BTB's Game Improvements. Your call.

Don't get Better Heads. World of Faces has all the same heads, but also includes even more. Personally, I find all the heads included to be really, really good.

Darknut's Better Clothes and this texture replacer are what I would use, but anything that does what those do will work fine.

If you care to learn, I suggest everyone use Wrye Mash. Sure, it's a tool for installing and uninstalling mods, but it can do so much more. First off, it makes the best leveled lists possible. Second, it can fix those annoying "ESPs depend on masters, but the referenced masters have changed. This may result in problems." errors. Third, sometimes, it'll notice issues where you've installed a mod with dependencies but later removed those dependencies. Mostly though, being able to drop a load of archives into a folder and installing them with a single click is really cool. No more "Data files in data files" errors. You'll also love it when your save file corrupts and needs cleaning.

sigh.
i went and re-installed morrowind.
now since stworca is in Mod-installing process, could someone make me a nice list of mods compatible one with the other like a "megabundle" which adds interest but not overpowering? (or at least, fixes)

Hmm...I've never been a big fan of CCGs - I mean, I did and still do collect Pokemon cards, but I never got heavily into the battling and trading thing.

By definition that makes you a fan since you still buy them.

Undead: arise from death: Upgrades the undead in the game so you may have to kill them twice, or three times until they stop rising! also adds some more Undead, Skeletons, and Spirits into the game.

Also, Vampire Embrace and the related mods. Be aware that they may render vampires extremely powerful (not unbeatable, but certainly bloody tough). Getting infected at a low level without accendentally dying might be impossible.

Hmm now i only miss improved textures for several basic clothes and nigh all armor types. Also : Rocks, but i'm on the issue of Rocks just now, and i found just the mod. Everything is stable so far.

It sounds like Mr Person knows a lot about the graphics and more technical aspects of using mods, so I think his suggestions would definitely be good to look at. It's also neat to see people like jetex1911 suggesting stuff that adds more content to the game. We've had the vampire thing come up a couple of times and I think that would be a cool idea if it's what you were planning to do for the LP, Stworca, but I had no idea what you had in mind as far as actually playing the game goes beyond the hint or two you dropped (about it being dark). Should we keep looking for more mods, and if so is there anything in particular you're looking for?

Birthsigns are more Fun - edits all the standard birthsigns to give them more abilities and variations.
Dungeons, The 9 Chapters - adds a bunch of dungeons and related content.
More/Better Werewolves-With everyone talking about vampires we need to balance things out. :P This adds more werewolves, makes them stronger, and makes NPC werewolves able to appear human.
Races are more Fun - same as the Birthsigns mod except for races.
Cast on Use B-Gone - changes Cast on Use effects into Constant effects (because apparently cast on use was poorly implemented/underpowered and hence removed for Oblivion).
Advanced Persuasion - allows you to bribe guards, threaten and apologize to people, etc. Essentially more dialog options and features.
Unique Finery - gives the unique and special items new unique and special models so they all look different.
Hold It - gives non-aggressive NPCs random items to hold based on their position and gender.

Again I'm really just trying to grab the top-rated ones from the site you linked to that I think would have a significant impact on gameplay. Not knowing what you really intend for the LP I'm pretty much grabbing them from all over the place.

As a side note Stworca your icon is hilarious. XD

Edit: Glad to hear everything's stable with the graphics so far. I know there's a ton of graphic mods for armor and clothes and such on the site, you just have to find one you want to use.

Cast on use underpowered? It didn't have a casting animation. Get something that does damage on cast, mash the mouse button, and whatever's under the crosshair dies. If anything, the best way of fixing cast on use is to make the charges cost more (or lower item capacites or something) but either option'll mess everything else up in the process.

Reign of Fire: Although i doubt this will be added, as it conflicts with the game's lore (This game makes dragons attack in a well written questline, but as Skyrim has dragons attacking, it doesn't work with the lore.), This has dragons awakening around Vvardenfel, but it is very glitchy, and needs to be fixed. Some people have attempted to fix it, and even added things, like better music, to it, but it usually never fixed all of them, or made more problems for me. As i said, you will probably need to fix it to make it playable, and even has the option to start the quest at level 30, and trust me, you WILL need to be highly leveled to take the dragons on.

Which is sad since I run a really, really low-end computer, so I can't actually use any high-end mods. Well, I have a few that I use to make pretty screenshots.

Passive Healthy Wildlife is one I don't use myself, but many swear by it.

Morrowind Comes Alive is popular, but please use an MCA name mod if you decide to use it. I don't use this one because it makes the game very hard.

I have yet to find a leveled list addition mod that meets my high standards. Sorry, no can help there.

I would strongly suggest a mod that adds more mark-recall slots and/or a teleportation mod of some sort so you can spend more time playing the game rather than walking around.

I haven't yet played around with quest mods, so I also can't suggest much there.

Get a mannequin mod. I don't care what house mod you use, having mannequins makes any house mod look nicer. Even if the house comes with them, get one anyways and remove the house's. Seriously, a good mannequin mod has WAY more options. I had one where you could have several styles and could even pose them.

I think Mr. Person brought up some good points in this last post. Here's the highest-rated Teleport mod on the site you linked to. That would mean you don't have to do a lot of walking around.

Since you mentioned the clothing and armor last time, Better Clothes edits some of the clothes and More Better Clothes edits some more.

As for armors this mod completes all the armor sets and edits them statistically to be balanced and edits their meshes for looks.

As for Mr Person bringing up mannequins here's a mod that adds a bunch of different kinds.

Finally, it's not a mod but if you're using a bunch of them then Smart Merger might be of some use.

Good luck with everything, Stworca! ^^
