Im playing is what is at a guess, a cold, terrifying, savage evil land, (no idea beyond what i searched for minus the cold.) because the ground is litterally nothing but worms, and eye stalks and snow. I don't mind the werewolves, they go down rather quickly, but it gets hard to pre-emptively target them with the moving ground and the super bright pink worms. Beyond paving a road, is there any good permanent way to remove it? (no lava access yet, its a good 80 z levels away, and my pc doesn't do well to pump stacks.)

Oh god, I hate those things. Wanted to start an above-ground fortress on a terrifying biome and immediately rage-quit when I saw them.

Floors should block that.

Ah phoey, but oh well, paved roads i use over the floors, because of the cost wood wise, a 10x10 grid of paved costs about a 4-1 ratio, over the 1-1 for the floor variety, and its fast, heh, time to pave the way to success!
