Begin wading through tunnel, thrashing back to shallow water if it becomes too deep.

You crawl through the tunnel for a while, but it gets deep as you reach the cave. You crawl back...

Zan goes further along the cliff to check for any other passages/entrances.

You go along the cliff and reach a dead end. Climbing up the rock wall seems to be possible but a bit tricky.

climb down the ladder, then look for a stone to make a woodburner workshop out off.

Not far away from the ladder you find a suitable boulder...

...under which you spot another dead fellow. He stares at you with his expressionelss dead eyes.

You follow the long tunnel. After a while you find an old pickaxe and a ladder.

"Hmph, you're back so I presume the entrance isn't safe. What now?"

Zan also checks the depth of water at dead end. Maybe more of the path is underwater or something.

I shall be Urist Turnaround, Spinner. He mostly like to spin around, he choose his career because it though it'd mean spending his day pretending to be a spinning top.

"Well, I guess we climb back up? At least now we know where some of it is."

Iddum climbs back up the cliff face, and begins searching the area that should be above the cavern.

Zan also checks the depth of water at dead end. Maybe more of the path is underwater or something.

You carefully wade out into the water...
luck check: d12=10, d12=11
...and fall down a ledge! It's deep here!

swim check: d12-3=7, d12=9; d3=3
You swallow some water and lose 3 HP!

>_

Iddum climbs back up the cliff face, and begins searching the area that should be above the cavern.

You try to climb up the cliff.
climb check: d12=2, d12+2=6; d4=1
You fall down and bruise your arm for 1 point of damage!

>_

construct the workshop!

You build a wood furnace from the stone!
Meanwhile the dead dwarf rises and tries to speak: "Braaaaanes! Miiiiinced!"

>_

haul the pickaxe until i find a suitable stockpile, climb the ladder and explore some more

You walk along the earth wall for a while and find a dead dwarf. Somebody seems to have stolen his clothes.
In the distance you spot two dwarves and a wood furnace.
