We don't know where the inhabitants of this world live...Or if there are any sentient on the planet in the first place....

Also are you sure you want to scan the WHOLE planet? Lots of belief down the drain...

I vote to scan one continent first, to conserve belief. The one with the most green, preferably, as desert/wasteland won't usually yield much life... Well, in Humanistic terms.

I totally second the Insanity Box aka Mind-Flayer(tm) idea, it seems like a fun artifact-y way to get worshipers and/or just fuck with everything.


Personally, I would prefer to manifest in the dreams of the sentient beings, so as to gently coerce them into belief/fear/respect/adoration without risking our physical form, or wasting belief on abstract strategies and physical items.

You also decide to create an artifact. It takes some of your very essence and great amounts of belief, but you now have your first artifact; the Madness Cube. You make it small and compact, much like that living cube you made. -500 belief
You don't know where to put it however, (Check the map).

(Also whoever suggested the space-eels a while back, I didn't see that, sorry)

I suggest placing it smack-dab in the middle of the city.

Hell, for !!BONUS!! madness points, replace some religious/cultural artifact with the Cube, so that the creatures of this world will fall into madness and give us their souls without even realizing it!

Ha, I saw your other map and an anti-magic tower. Onto relevant stuff... I like that volcano in the frigid north. It's a contradiction, like that stupid commercial. Anyway, the cube might be best in the port city. That way news of it will travel fast. Well, as fast as ships can travel. Just make sure nobody does anything dumb, like throw our gift into the ocean. Speaking of the ocean, maybe we can use it to our advantage. Mutate fish into crazy, semi-sentient followers whose bites infect other fish with our will. And those foolish enough to eat our servants shall replace them in servitude. And gain suppressible yet ungodly physical mutations.

Alright, then.

I say we take a closer look and find out who's in charge of the port city. Somehow give the cube to him/her as a royal gift, so that their very leader will be driven to madness. With his servitude, we can then turn the entire city, and spread from there.

...Or just throw it in town and watch everyone go insane, bite each other, throw shoes, and get arrested. Guards confiscate it, go crazy, royals/leaders confiscate, go crazy, and then... !!TANTRUM SPIRAL!!
