How do we change between them?

I think we chose at the beginning to be a personification. If we get strong enough, we might surpass gods, but I don't think we can become one.

(yeah we are a personification, but if we a larger amount of worshipers we might as well be a god. I guess you could be a spirit...I'll let you guys guess how that happens)

Fly into the sun and become a spirit who feeds on stars

go towards the blue planet. go there full speed. use your abilities you transform into one of the inhabiting species only with more muscles (and more beard) and about 50 percent larger. use some of your energy to surround you in a shining aura of light and darkness to protect you from entering the atmosphere at top speed and just as you are about to hit the ground hit it with your fist or fist equivalent. be sure the event is witnessed, if only by a few. Then wait in the crater.

No, we need that beard to return to the void! I assume we can't heat-proof our beard, or at least not enough, and it would be unwise to leave it unprotected in the endless emptiness of space. Someone might steal it. Oh well, the view here is beautiful, and we need someone to share it with. I say we set up shop right here... or maybe a little further away so we don't burn our beard any further. Create sentient space eels that feed off of cosmic radiation and breath solar winds. And make sure they have several rows of large, menacing teeth.

Edit: And make them grow over time indefinitely. That way ancient ones are huge.
