Introduction
In the spirit of people finding ways to give a multiplayer experience to single player games, I will begin a new attempt to incorporate a multiplayer game within Aurora. The nations will be controlled by me in game with one person assigned as the leader of each nation. Many details of each nation will only displayed to the leaders of each nation, although each leader is free to post the information within this topic or create his own topic in order to gather a public opinion on what his goals should be if he wish, but ultimately it is up to each leader to make the decisions for their empire. Should a player not respawn within a reasonable amount of time, I will temporarily take over decision making following the spirit of that player until either he comes back or a replacement can be found.
Background:
With the coming of the year 2012, the world had not found the Armageddon that had been prophesied by the Mayans, but instead found a resource that changed all life on Earth. It had started with a deep sea exploration team that was surveying the Mariana Trench. At the bottom of this trench they had found a new element that they had named Duranium. Although similar to carbon in nature, it was much stronger then it's alternate and displayed a unique displays of reactions that caused scientists to begin doubting Newton's three laws. A year later, a relatively unknown Japanese scientist released a theory. Going back to Einstein's theory of relativity, this scientist believed that the deep within the Earth, the large amount of dense matter within the Earth had an extreme effect on warping time in space that under the right conditions, elements could condense together so much that it continues to warp space and time around it even after it is retrieved from the Earth. This warpage of space and time allowed it this element to display properties that seem to defy basic laws. This scientist even went to propose that more of these elements could exist deep within the Earth.
Following this theory, a new organization started up under the name The Syndicate started up with the intention to research this new element. While other scientist were busy researching the practical uses of such an element, Syndicate's scientist were trying to answer another question, "How can we find more of this." Eventually they came up with a solution. Given the extremely dense nature of the element, it gave out a rather unusual gravity field that can be detected with the right sensors. The Syndicate immediately began selling these new sensors all over the world and, in just over a year, became the largest privately owned corporation on Earth.
With the technology to now find and extract these resources a total of ten other elements similar to Duranium had been discovered. These eleven new elements were named the Trans-Newton elements though not because they break Newton's Laws, but because they instead surpass beyond the realm of human understanding. The Mayans had been correct with one part of their prophecy: Following 2012, a new age in history will begin.

Background: Coming into the year of 2015, the United States certainly remained as a large superpower in the world, although with the rise of China it was no certain that the US was the strongest. With the discovery of Trans-Newton elements, the United States poured all of it's efforts into this new growing field which revived it's economy from the downward slump it was in. All across the United States, the average quality of living rose and with it a new wave of patriotism emerged in it's citizens. However, although they were successful economically, their diplomatic relation with other nations had suffer.
Under a new republican control, the US began a policy of heavily getting into the affairs of other nations. The first major move began with their heavy involvement Africa. Although it was said to be for peace, America's involvement with Africa had increased the amount of violence on the continent. While most nations were slightly annoyed at the USA, the biggest shock came with America's announcement in 2014. Seeing how China's actions in Africa led to the creation of another Vietnam War, the United States looked to the bickering within South America and made deceleration not used since 1954. America called upon the Monroe Doctrine and stated that the nations within South and Latin America are within the United States sphere of influence, and that interference with nations in South America will be seen as acts of aggression against the United States.
European Union: Controlled by: Ehndras

Background: In 2013, the European Union had ratified a new constitution. Answering to the growing outcry from it's citizens, the constitution had formally joined all members of EU into one nation, lead by a prime minster and Parliament elected from it's states. Fully united, the EU had grown enough power to almost match the industrial might of the USSR. Although it's army is lacking compared to the other major superpowers, with the newly elected prime minister taking office in 2015, the EU's future looks bright.
The Syndicate: Controlled by tompliss

Background: With the founding of Trans-Newton minerals, many corporations within France and other European countries began investing in ways to use this technology for the private sector. Using these investments as a foothold, a private corporation rose up to exploit this rapidly developing field. Under the simple name of "The Syndicate", this corporation has its reaches all over the world, with it's main headquarters located within Europe.
Special Rules: Due to it's lack of any defined borders and it's presence all over the Earth, it is impossible for any other nation to directly attack the Syndicate's Earth based population with both ground forces or bombardment. Any colony created off of Earth is not affected by the rule.
Republic of India: Controlled by Boksi

Background: Already within the mists of a technological revolution, India quickly picked up on the shift to Trans-Newton technology. Funded by the government, hundreds of factories were set up all across India, fueled by a massive labor force of people migrating from the rural lands of India into the major cities. Within this revolution came some downsides. Giving the massive pool of laborers, factory workers are paid very little and overall poverty is widespread among India's cities. The overall average salary of it citizens is almost a fifth less then their European counterparts and India's military is quite small compared to the other nations.
Soviet Union: Controlled by: Azkul

Background: By the end of the cold war, the USSR nearly on the verge of collapse, was revived by one man. Aleksis Buturlin, who came to power through a military coup, manage to stabilize the nation through a strict military enforcement nearly rivaling that of the Stalin-era policies. Right after the USSR was finally stabilized, Buturilin died in an car-bomb assination thought to be blamed by Though the USSR is now only a fraction of it's former glory, this new Trans-Newton era represent the possibility of fully restoring the might of the USSR.
Africa
Africa, a land divided by strife, had been at the mercy of foreign influence for the grand majority of it's history. With the discovery of Trans-Newton minerals, the conflict in Africa grew. Found rich with these new space-age resources, many nations began clamoring for a stake in Africa's rich lands. Militia groups all over Africa began warring for mining hot-spots across the continent and it would seem that Africa would be locked in such conflicts.
Under foreign support, two large powers rose up in Africa: the Union of Black Workers and the United African Federation. With aid from it's foreign supporters, these two nations managed to crush independent militia groups and united their respective halves of Africa. Although this stabilized a large majority of Africa, these two nations now fight each other in a bid for control of continent.

Background: Once a small rebel militia group, under the support of Chinese armaments the Union of Black Workers was able to successfully wage a coup and take control of Sudan. Under an agreement with China, China would continue to give support if the Union of Black Workers would allow Chinese owned mines to be established within Africa and would fight to push out other foreign influence. Reluctant to side with the Asians, the UBW accepted in order to fight against Arab and Western influence that had ran rampant in Northern Africa. After a few years, the UBW had managed to push back Islamic influence all the back to Egypt and had claimed the northern half of Africa. With United African Front arming up for battle, the UBW aims to clear out influence of Western Capitalism from Africa.

Background: African trading nations along the western coast were vital to America's industry due to their export of Trans-Newton minerals. With the instability in Africa threatening to harm trade, America strong-armed many African nations into creating a federation to stabilize Africa. Many southern African nations joined, and with UN support managed to create a unified front in southern Africa. Looking to the north, the UAF denied the Union of Black Workers' existence as a nation and began rallying troops to liberate North Africa from this terrorist group.
