Gah, tired tonight, will finish up the OP and begin writing reports up tomorrow. The game should be ready to officially start Friday.

Blast! I'm late! I would have loved to try this out, but I was too busy looking at Sheb's game. Ah well! I'm looking forwad to what will happen here. So many different nations is sure to lead to some interesting tactics springing up.

I also voice my support for the Republic of India. I want to see a game other than civilization that has Ghandi nuking people.

Why not let Daltesh play as PRC?

There also seems to be some unclaimed territory in Africa, if you haven't set up the game yet.

He probably has things in store for the USA and China.
Having the game master start wars is a good way to get people to stop being so peaceful and actually start lobbing nukes!

That said I wouldn't want my participation to slow the game down enough to annoy Zhou, it's more fun to read about an awesome game than to take place in it and make it less awesome, yeah? Plus eight people sounds like plenty enough for it to be hectic and explodey while still having the possibility of being long term.

ah yes, nukes in the common start.

Anyway, can I get a commander named after me? That seems to be the usual thing to do for the lazy people who just want to watch and give useless advice?

That could be fun but I wouldn't want to step on your toes. But if I did help you it'd likely be as an adviser spouting the glory of the new post-fundamentalist Islamic golden age, regardless of whether or not it actually is a post-fundamentalist state.

I would also express an unhealthy obsession with engine technology.

No problems really, and I prefer to have back-up in case I cannot submit orders.

Haven't posted in the bay for a while, this sparked my interest.

If a faction opens up, can I put my name down on a waiting list or something? I'm happy to tag along with another faction as well

Nevermind, apparently the guy who posted after me got the slot for Brazil/South America. Funny how that works. Very Brazilian, actually.

I'll be observing this one, seems like its going to be interesting!

I had requested the slot in the Aurora thread in the 'other games' forum before this thread being created.

Haha, I have no qualms with that and I figured that you did, I was just joking about how it reminds me of Brazilian politics :P ('Slots' and favors, rather than first-come-first-serve)

Make us (semi-)South Americans proud ;)

That's exactly why I took issue.  :P Being compared to the government of my country is pretty offensive. :P
