I'm voting for Minecraft.
I'd be absolutely mortified to see a giant badger rip everyone apart in 3d.

Those percentages seem off.

Yeah. Still, it's good to see Dwarf Fortress with a high percentage!

Every few miles, [the dwarves] stop the cart.  One of the dwarfs (sic) gets off, digs a hole down below the dirt layers, licks the bedrock, and then they know exactly where they are.  It's called GPS: Geological Piquancy Sampling.

It looks neat but I highly doubt he'll be able to turn it into anything approaching the complexity and feel of dwarf fortress any time soon.

I'd rather that he attempted to turn it 'next gen minecraft' first.
That'd be a better use of such an engine than another stonesense, imho.

I think the multiple votes allowed per person is throwing it off. That, or each bar goes up to 100%, it's not a total.

I voted for the DF and Minecraft. I don't see any significant usefulness in either, but they would both be interesting. I'd love to see a DF-like world rendered professionally in 3D, but we have some programs that can do that, if only at a basic level. I doubt that this project could get up to the complexity of DF; maybe in the geograpic, and thus the graphic, portion.

As for Minecraft... What would "next gen" be? Less blocky blocks?

anti-aliasing?

Honestly though, I still play DF with the ASCII graphics, don't even use graphics packs or anything. 3D would be a turn off to the game for me, so as long as the option to play it in ASCII is in there I'll be happy. :D

I don't think he's making DF in 3D... I think it's going to be a 3D DF-like world. Basically like worldgen, without people, displayed in 3D.

I voted for Dwarf fortress, assuming that it's NOT 3D Dwarf fortress but rather going to show a generated world in a pretty epic 3d way. (I like the thought of graphics and all but I can't even imagine playing it like that, would be a turn off.)
