Yeah, but Herros has tinkering abilities, and there's a really awesome weapon in mind I was thinking of hinting wolfchild into crafting that requires a tachyon emitter and something else the group has. We'll see.

Willem Van Strignich (64/100)
Events:----Initially----
Willem grinned inside of his helmet. Little did the enemy know, Willem had
something special in mind for him. The TAK-X9 was classified as a heavy rifle. It looked as if it were a standard rifle. But within the barrel shroud, there were actually five, and each barrel was composed of high-grade cobalt steel alloy, resistant to deformation and heat. Each barrel costed roughly two million 'credits' to produce (credits are really just jargon for an arbitrary standard for the value of currency. Local currencies are inherently a mess, since it is truly quite difficult to establish a banking system on a
galactic scale, let alone a planetary scale. Two million is about enough for a small middle-class shuttle.), but this was well worth it, because the gun itself used a complicated firing mechanic involving five rotary firing pins in order to launch multiple bullets through the same barrel at the same time. The gun itself costed as much as a large middle-class home.
[4] Willem pressed the trigger with his finger. The barrels began to spin, and within half a second the gun had begun firing. However, by now, Zakroff had dived behind a crate, and had already fired [2] twice. Both rounds impacted onto Willem's up-to-date patriot helmet, and dealt
36 damage in total. Willem stood his ground.
Zakroff dived to the side, whipping his cloak across his body in one swift motion, taking refuge behind a bundle of crates near a maintenance crane. He questioned himself as to how the guard had been shot in the head twice without staggering. Maybe he would have to rethink his tactic.
----Meanwhile----
Herros began construction of a vacuum pump that could penetrate doors. Why not a drill with a vacuum pump attached? Wouldn't the drill be more useful than the pump? Pfft. The Centauri work ethic works as follows: The more convoluted yet functional a task is, the more the Centauri is inclined to make sure every aspect works. They strive for pointlessness.
...
Herros finished mucking around with the tubing after integrating it into the drill head, utilizing holes in the drill head to serve as an intake/outtake. He then began to work on hollowing out the motor's axle and working on a pseudo bearing to make sure the tube wouldn't become twisted within the machine.
[5: Level up!] With Jaffar's help, Herros assembled a case, trigger, and linked the parts together through it. He crafted gears from the scrap Varron brought in, and used them to fashion the vaccum pump incorporating rubber from the tube and parts of the case.
After finishing his creation, Herros punched a hole in the wall with his gauntlet and pulled out two wires.
[4]
"Wow, first guess," he remarked, his snide voice echoing through the room. He linked the wires to the corresponding ones hanging out of the drill. The drill then, upon a pull of the trigger, began to revolve, sucking air through the drill head in the process.
Meanwhile,
Jaffar turned to one of the engineers.
"You there," he began, in a polite tone.
"Would you kindly give me your ID and Password to the ships Wifi?"The engineer turned his head to face Jaffar. He then looked at
Kayle--standing there looming like death, acquainting herself with the innacurate TAC-9 sights--and then back at Jaffar.
[4] He cracked. "You'll kill us anyway, but why not. I hate this government. The ID is n1njakill4 and the password is swordfish."
Can't say that's a coincidence... I wonder... thought Jaffar.
He saved the codes in a folder on his 'desktop,' and proceeded to heft the smartcannon onto his back. It had no Ross symbols on it, and obviously so, because it was a weapon produced by an independent arms manufacturer. Jaffar didn't think he could find it on the Ross web.
Afterwards,
Kayle walked over to the captured guard, and pointed her sword at him.
"Well, what do you know?""Look, all I know, is that we were sent to escort these engineers out of the engine bloc. But then, all of a sudden, we heard some crashes. And to make things worse, the stupid cameras stopped working! Command wouldn't open the checkpoint. They've got mounted coilguns, armed guards, and all that stuff behind the checkpoints, and still, they wouldn't even turn the view-screen on! It was like we had the plague or something!"
"Hmm..."Well...

[4: New skill-spellcrafting]
Amatin sat down, contemplating. He had just briefed the team on possible courses of action. Now that the team had three suits of slightly busted enforcer gear, three additional people could be sent on the stealth mission in order to make the operation seem more credible. Since nobody, however, raised their hand at his proposal, he decided to compromise. He wanted that enforcer gear used in a way, but most of the party preferred to stay in the 'shoot anything that moves' group.
He had a plan though: Stealth zombies.
He carefully crafted a spell in his mind, drawing some artificial lines in the air around him, acquainting himself with the fundamentals of spellcrafting. He came up with the perfect solution--damaging an individual's pre-frontal cortex would essentially retard their mental facilities while still allowing them to take orders and carry them out. He created a spell to lobotomize his victims, and decided to test it out on an engineer.
[1] He walked over to a fallen engineer.
"Hi there. Mind standing up for me?""I can't... These boots are rather tricky..."
Amatin grabbed the engineer's arm and helped him up.
"Thanks, I..."
Before the engineer could finish, Amatin blasted him with the spell, causing the engineer's entire prefrontal cortex to essentially melt as he fell into a permanent coma.
"Opps... Anyone else willing to help?"[4]
Milia then came along, picking up bits and pieces of objects from the engineers that might look useful. Then, she [3] skinned one of them... let's not go into details.
----Afterward----
Varron walked over to
Caplus, to assist him in any way possible.
Caplus warned the group not to blow his cover, and proceeded to hit the button, turning the viewscreen on. A large, acne-covered face took over the black panel, staring at Caplus in an inquisitive manner.
"Hi, can you open the door? We got trapped in here, somehow." began Caplus.
"We noticed. The cameras in your sections went offline. In fact, some of them are still offline. Wait a minute, why are you wearing that helmet?"
"My power armor ran out of blinker fluid power. I was one of the guards sent in."[3+1] Luckily for Caplus, the man bought the excuse and let him in.
"Alright, we'll open the door. I'd like you and that engineer next to you to report to the bridge immediately."
"Actually, wait a bit. There's another engineer I have to bring along..."Time: 1350 CST
