I tend to leave cage traps sprawled outside to nab critters and goblins alike, it keeps some of the more annoying things away from my fortress walls where my dwarves tend to play around. However, I noticed a large ammount of badgermen filling up my cages, and I really have no good use for them. What should I do with with my little badgermen?

Build the cages in  the room with your military dwarves and give them training weapons and watch them beat on them for a lot of experienxe in that weapon skill.

Armoring them helps from getting their dwarven butts kicked.

Edit: oh yeah, gotta link the cages up to a leaver so they can be opened...

Bah, thats too obvious of a use. How well do badgermen do when crammed into a cage and used as a bomb?

Won't attack unless trained.

Obviously they are elven spies. Cleanse them with magma.

Probably better than regular badgers, but not as well as giant badgers. I recommend my badger pit, it should be around the forums somewhere.

Throw them into a danger room, throw some decent armour and weapons down to them, then train them up. When you go to the circus, make sure the legendary badgermen are on the parade route.

IT 000, badgermen are still prone to rage, so wild ones should still flip out and kill things.
