Alright. I guess I can take 6 players. It's going to be hectic and slow but I think I can do it.
Is everybody good for 8:00 PM GMT on Fridays?

Fridays should be good for me. I might be late by a bit though, we'll see how it works out.

Voted for the Guardsmen campaign, although I'm only familiar with (and have books for) Rogue Trader at this point.

Fridays still work best for me. I probably couldn't do this if the time switches to Mondays-Thursdays for some reason.

It seems as if DH: Guardsmen Mode is the winner.

I suggest you use this to start off your character.
The way I would do it is make two characters (one a guardsman), and combine them. No, you don't have to let the dice decide for you, play what you want.
The gear your character should have is everything from the Guardsman career, and everything from your career minus the weapons and armor.
Once you combine the two classes you want, I'll help you along in deciding your advancements.

Send me a PM if you need the rulebooks.
If you want to be a Sororitas (dat ass), you'll need the Inquisitors Handbook as well.

I'm just gonna see how the hell I'm gonna get the Talents in order to be the Morale-Boosting Singing Dancing Musician Vostroyan Guardsman.

Also, Vostroya would fit as both a Forge and Imperial World, right? It's an Industrial.

Well it's hard to decide what I want to play right now, but I used the char gen to come up with somebody that sounds like what I'm going for. I'm not exactly sure how to combine classes or what some of these character traits are/represent though, such as Divination.

How would I combine characters? Do I simply take my primary generated character and add my secondary character's new skills and talents?

Yes, that is exactly what you do, along with gear, excluding weapons and armor.
So you should have:
lasgun and 1 charge pack, knife, guard flak armour, 1 week corpse starch rations, sword, las pistol and 1 charge pack, shotgun and 12 shells, uniform (Common Quality Clothing), Imperial Infantryman's Uplifting Primer, tube of grease (memento), first commendation medal (memento), brass knuckles, quilted vest, street ware (Poor Quality Clothing), deck of cards (memento), cork bottle stopper (memento)

Also, you should write your own back story eventually, or as we go.

Ah, the power of making characters. Putting in my bought skills and talents after I take a look at the book. AAAND Done.
Also, put in a simple backstory, and added a few things. Holy crap the family generator was close to what I was thinking.

This is what I've got so far. I haven't touched starter money yet and it seems I might need The Inquisitor's Handbook for the Gunmetal Hive talents.

...I think my chance for fireteam leader is about to be usurped by Taricus. Damn his slightly better stats and the fact he can shoot heavy stubbers!
