Geiger Counter
« on: July 31, 2011, 11:49:47 pm »

Me and Bdthemag are thinking of running a game of Geiger Counter. Here is the link to the game. Here is the concept of the game we were thinking of running. We haven't figured it out fully, so you can help us too. If you wanna join in, just ask. There is enough space for about three people, not counting me and Bdthemag. I hope we can all have fun!

This game looks really fun, I also have a super secret list of people I refuse to allow in. Don't worry though, it only has five people.

You need to read the manual, once we get all of the plaer's we'll probally start using maptools for this.

Do to some confusion im just going to do a quick summary of the game.

Basically you and a few other people will create characters in the game (Also known as the "Movie"). Imagine it as a horror movie, where the characters you create will have to try to survive against the "Menace". The Menace is the bad guy in the game, in this one its a mutating alien. You have to go around the map, trying to find a way to further your characters personal goal while trying to learn how to defeat the menace. If two character's goals conflict they can choose to fight eachother.

I imagine at the end only one or two character's will actually be alive.

I do want.
Sounds really hard. Lots of player mortality?

Can we get an idea of the setting, so we can start brainstorming characters?

I think you too late, Furtuka. We have five players. (The Hosts count as players too.)

As stated above, the setting is set in the far future. The player's will find themselves trapped in an intergalactic mall when its locked down, to keep in a dangerous animal like alien. This alien has the ability to mutate, which means that if you find a weakness it has the chance to mutate to prevent that.

The rest the player's decide, since one of the main points of the game is to brainstorm up an idea and play it.

I sugest that, in addition to the current setting, "Bio-Modding", a proccess of editing ones DNA and such to change his apperance (Eye Color, Hair Color, Body Type, Facial Recontruction) is a growing fad. Bio Modding had no use above just altering your apperance, but perhaps there could be a research on making it capable to doing things above that. (( Basically ADAM from Bioshock, only instead of giving you godly powers, you get facial Surgery.))

Maybe this could also explain the menace? Bio-Modding gone too far?
