Breivik, the man that should not be.
« on: July 31, 2011, 04:38:55 pm »

This man killed so many people, and yet he is not dead?
What kind of world do we live in were the innocent dies and the guilty lives?
I mean, the police should have slaughtered that man on sight, fuck the law, this man deserves a punishment beyond human, and even divine dimensions.
just had to share that..

Guy behind the Norway killings. Religious fanatic that killed a lot of people recently because he was tired of political correctness or something...

Yeah, great idea, let's act against everything those who have been slaughtered stand for!
Great way to honor their memory.

Of course he's a religious fanatic. It would be too easy if he was an agnostic or an atheist.

I really need to keep an eye on the news, I keep missing shit like this.

Ultra right-wing fanatic, not religious fanatic; his plan was anti-muslim, but motivated almost entirely for political reasons. Though he did hold fundamentalist christian beliefs typical of the ultra-right wing.

In any case, we already have a thread for this. http://www.bay12forums.com/smf/index.php?topic=89483.0

Seriously, why isn't this guy getting the death sentence? He killed approximately 80 students, for Christ's sake! He should be killed by having horses pull each of his limbs, tied together by a rope. Then he should be left to bleed to death.

If he's just imprisoned, there's that tiny chance that he'll be able to escape, or that someone with the same sick, twisted ideals contact him from there, thus making an impact in the outside world.

Many people don't like the death sentence, but this guy does not deserve any sympathy, and he should be killed quickly, lest some idiots make him a hero and "fight" for his ideals.

Because, obviously, the best way to prevent someone from becoming a martyr is by making them a martyr.

As others have said: killing someone to show killing is wrong is wrong in and of itself. At least that's what I believe.

Then again, killing someone for killing 80 people has a great effect on people, better or worse.

It might not be a good idea to tickle everyone's ideals by making a significant move. His supporters might appear, if he has some, and they'll probably begin killing people.

Not doing anything might probably make his supporters appear, but at a later date. As much as I want this guy dead for killing 80 students, killing him might actually be a bad idea.

Justice is paradoxical and slow. ):

Theoretically if police were on the scene when he started shooting then yeah, let them use lethal force. As he was captured without unnecessary loss of public servant life that point is moot.

(I dont actually know if any officers died in this, the idea is that he was captured eventually and at that point you cant kill him.)
