It seems CC cant be trained into war animals, but do untrained animals still attack gobbos and elves?

And dwarves.  Just make sure your crocs are at least tamed.  I forget if they're PET_EXOTIC, but if they are...  Probably should change tag.

After the recent success of my cave crocodiles in fending of a ambush by 3 civs at the same time I believe i can say that they are very effective military creatures.

Now to expand the Military Application of Animals (M.A.o.A) project further now with 100% Helmet Snakes!

Dwarfs mounting sharks with lazers.

But seriously have ele/phants been tested yet for their combat /prowess? They seem unruly from... a little known story I read haha. And what about Badgers.

Elephants cant eat enough to stave off starvation. Or Rhino's. Badgers are weak unless you go for the giant versions, but giant anything is good (giant big cats...). I personally hold out gorillas as my animal weapon of choice.

Well after reading that helmet snakes have some sort of paralyzing venom it seems there is not much testing really to be done with them im now stuck with a fort with a few cave crocs, helmet snakes, Giant cave swallows and a GCS (which is the pet of an immigrant)

It causes damn near everything and is quite beautiful in that regard.

if your running the latest df, and have tamed any [PET_EXOTIC] creature, you're okay with modding. so, if you really want to, you could add the [TRAINABLE] tag to cave crocs.

Are elephants even that vicious any more?  I read somehwere that they've become more docile, but it might be possible to return their bloodthirstyness through modding...and then you can mod it so that you can tame them.

on the latest DF elephants seem to be alot more docile than the stories say they used to be, and I have been thinking over changing the raws of the Cave crocs/Swallows (maybe helmet snakes?) to add the trainable tag.

On  another note on elephants I have seen a mob of badgers kill an elephant
