This game could seriously use some patching. That said, despite the frustrations I've had with it so far ... I keep wanting to load it up. The gunplay is pretty good.

This game has one very fucking annoying thing - no automatic reloading. Just click click click when the magazine is empty and have to remember to hit manual reload button. It haven't got me killed yet, but has got me damage on the face and it is very annoying.

Regardless. I don't know why I keep playing this, but I just do. Kind of makes me think of Boiling Point. Rough on the edges, feels unfinished, but I can't help playing. I just wish there were more different factions active on all maps.

I always keep that sawn off shotty around for just that. It's so short that it remains operational during monster melee attacks and at that range, the double blast kill everything except maybe if you try to kneecap a cyberdemon with it. Which is what the Bear Killer in my other leg slot is for. My main weapon is usually the not-fal assault rifle along with the damocles, or rather, it was until a bug ate my save.

Speaking of which, are there any console commands to force research crates to spawn? I can easily grind back my lost levels and xp by hunting "big game" on mars but I cba to waste another 15 hours trying to get those back.

Hahahaha, this game plays on my paranoia of running out of ammo in a beautiful way. I habitually hit reload after killing an enemy which inevitably leads to a spawn while I am in the middle of reloading. Good fun.

On an unrelated note, I just LOVE the bear killer.

Windowed mode for my live stream so I can't see the ammo counter and paranoia sanity. Yup, good times.

It was around this part of the mission that I realized I didn't bother revisiting the armory after a sidequest, and I had 1.5 pistol clips and about 4 sniper rifle shots left. I completed most of the rest of the mission in Katana-only-mode. Was pretty fun.

Heh, I have a bad habit of compulsive reloading from playing TF2 and such.  This makes it so I fire 2 or three bullets, then reload wasting the rest of my clip. 

So I made a new character with a sword instead.  I'll try to untrain my auto-reload reflex sometime later.  :)

Do you die when you fail a hack?  I was hacking a turret once and it sent me back to the dreamworld.

If not, what is the downside to failing a hack?
