I don't get the pun.  :P

No surprise, it's a french pun ;)
Streum On (Streu-mon) is slang for Monstre(u) (Monster in english obviously.). "Streum" is to Monstre what "Mob" is to Monster.

Here you go for the useless knowledge of the day :P

Can't help for the mission sorry, I'm still at the first one. By the way, is there any other thing, to close the char's interface, than the cross ? I keep pressing escape like I do in other games and it is pissing me off...

That's funny because I've been doing the same thing as far as I know there isn't, if there is someone please correct me.

I don't think I fully understand the hacking process in the gameplay videos I see the player press all the virus buttons seemingly randomly, I usually do shield alot then overflow and then attack in the hope of winning. What's everyone's tactics when it comes to hacks?

My current set up is pistol and sword. So much fun running super fast at cops and slicing their heads off :D

What's everyone's tactics when it comes to hacks?

Not really a tactic but keep on randomizing the numbers by clicking on your target until enemy def and atk is under yours (Watchout for his life too.), start the battle with a scan or an overload then attack. If the numbers are fine and your timing is good, you'll win. At least it work for me at the moment with my poor 23 hacking.

When I made my char, the game said I was a Tracker. Looks like packing a lot of weapon (Not even using all of them huh) and running all the time is what a Tracker is. I'd like to make another one (for coop), because I'm tired of the whole run and blazin'gun around aspect you get most of the time in FPS. Any suggestions ?

Soulwynd you're probably right about me being bad as the stealth aspect, it's just frustrating at times.
Yup. I was really really bad at it, but if you don't get frustrated by it and go all out, you can learn it fast.

The thing is, if they're looking at your direction, they will most likely spot you unless they're busy with something else. Range nor light seems to matter for this. You start with the ghost cyber, which you can use to make them look the other way. Also, leaning on corners doesn't seem to trigger them as often.

After you get the cloak, which is one of the cheapest cyber, you can maneuver around people and uncloak even before approaching them, since they will have their backs to you.

Giving quick peeks on your hacking screen also helps to show the distance and number of opponents. If you can hack, you can possess one and start a mess before popping out and shooting everyone.

I don't think I fully understand the hacking process in the gameplay videos I see the player press all the virus buttons seemingly randomly, I usually do shield alot then overflow and then attack in the hope of winning. What's everyone's tactics when it comes to hacks?
Think of it as a blackjack game. The AI will almost always (There's a bit of randomness) protect itself doing certain things.

Here's a list of things it does to help you guys get a hang of it:
NPC's Attack > Player Defense = NPC does the attack move
NPC's Attack < Player Defense = NPC either drains the player defense, or tries to increase its own attack
Player's Attack > 0 and it's not busy trying to raise its attack = NPC will drain the player's attack

Things it will [almost] never do:
Raise its own defense
Ignore the player's attack stat (Except when itself has 0 attack)

So here are a couple tactics:
-Quick & dirty hack, good for possessions due to the bonuses
--Drain the NPC's attack to 0
--Attack unless the NPC's attack is higher than your defense
--Don't bother raising your own attack, even with 0 attack you can do some damage

-Mess the AI
--Boost your defense to 300
--Drain the NPC attack to 0
--Convert any left defense into attack
--Attack
--Repeat

Personally, I like the first one more, it's usually faster and does the job well enough. Things get much easier with higher implants and skills later, so you can do these much faster.

I am still willing to get the 4 pack.  I am in the US and as soon as there is interest, I'll get it.  Post if you want to split it with me.
The cost? Or the games?

Both, I guess.  What else?

Though, at this point it seems like there isn't enough interest and I am content just waiting a few months 'till the price drops.

The hacking game is quite subtle.

So far I've found its best to start off with Mask, and consistantly drain its attack while attacking it every 3 or 4 steps.

I hate to admit that this game is that perfect balance of slow play and awkward controls that manages to keep me from loading it up. I still think about it a lot, I just have been hesitant to devote the time to it.  Still, it gives me hope that someday someone will make a Shadowrun game better than the Genesis version.

Ok, so I finished the game... *Massive spoilers ahead*

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

I like the ending but it was quite abrupt, I thought there would be alot more missions than I did. I'm not sure if I would have had to do different missions if I decided to go down the other path.

I also ditched my stealth approach and just picked up the minigun, it made things alot simpler. Despite the bugs I really do love this game, the design is just great.

that first intro level is just the longest most boring thing I can remember playing. And then after that to have to walk around the base talking to people before getting out on a mission, meh.

It took like 20 minutes to get to New Eden and some action, and that was with ignoring the story and just clicking through a fair amount of the conversations. I hope thats the worst design choice they made and the rest is fun fun fun.

Dang all this sounds really fun.  So its worth it to buy then? Have the devs stated that they are planning on adding more levels or anything like that?

Im in no rush to finish the game. I prefer to take my time trying differnt approaches, The game is fun but I can already tell the scope for adding anything addon or mission wise is fairy limited imo.

but I will treat this game as a filler to anything else coming out. Moving this game forward I would like to see this style but in a bigger enviroment a bit like S.T.A.L.K.E.R // morrowind etc

Just my words. I hoped this game would have more because I am a real Shadowrun fan (the game).

So, this game leaves me really confused. I like and don't like it. I mean, I like the game as a whole, but there are some "noes".

At first, this game pretends to be what it's not. The levels are quite linear. They have lots of decoration but they are almost as linear a line and there are some weird design elements. The game has tons of RPG stats but they barely affect your character, only on a global scale. I mean gameplay-wise, of course stats matter for combat and other things :).

At the same time it has an awesome atmosphere/setting with a very badly written story... Probably because the authors were not native english speakers. It also has a nice variety of enemies, factions, weapons etc. And it has an unique feel.

So I feel like the game was developed by people with great imagination and nice ideas (it's like a cyber-steam-punk), but they did not have enough game development experience to perfect it.

I look forward to patching and modding.
