I love my war Giant Badgers.

In a Joyous Wilds biome, my random cage traps caught a whole herd of Giant Badgers.
(I mod for most wild animals to be trainable)

They are amazing.
My War Grizzly family is no longer at the front gate.  These Giant Badgers just keep going.
One is missing a leg, blind, internal organ damage... from a year prior, and still alive!
Not only that, it just ate 4 goblin spearmen.

Trying to breed more, keeping the ones labeled muscular, huge, and fat.
Slaughtered all the ones labeled skinny.  Yum, giant badger sweetbread.

I'm hoping the Giant Badger Breeding Project is a success.

I just caught a dozen of the buggers myself, they'd been disrupting work and maiming infants for SEASONS.  My plans for them are a little different, though.. 

Giant-Badger-bomb traps.

I had a naked ferric elf attack my fortress while riding a giant badger.  She was surrounded by naked ferric elf bowmen (and bowwomen).  The horrors...

I had something like this happen, but with a herd of Rutherers.
They may run when you try to attack them, but once you catch them they will fuck your shit up.

I actually just bought a giant badger from the elves.  And guess what?  All the animals the elves sell are tamed!  I was pretty happy about that.  Hopefully I can get my hands on some more and start breeding them like crazy.  If I had wild ones, I would totally put them in cages connected to levers outside for when forces of darkness come about...
