The contrast is a bit too low on the last one, my eyes feel sad when they look at it. But maybe it was intentional?

It kind of is, but some colors do need tweaking as some are too close.

New version of the set is out, updated plague set a bit more from my perspective, but actually a bigger difference since the last available file. Added my soviet schemes into this as well as a few others and some slight color tweaks, other super slight tileset tweaks, also added my SOV-G tilesets into the mix.

I found the wonderful delight that is Terminus font from a linux DF screenshot. I made a tileset mixing my plague set and the terminus font in a nifty 6x12. I plan on working on it more, certain things might just go back to being ascii.

New update is out. Small improvements made to the ASCII+ sets. New 9x9 plague set created and added.

These are really nice.  I don't always play ASCII, but when I do, I prefer Vherid's ASCII+ tilesets  8)

So I looked at this and thought "Whoah, that's a nice and small looking 9x9 set!", but then to my disappointment, it wasn't nearly as cool as on the front page:


And thus I decided to rip the outlines from the "cool" version. And then I decided to make them more gradient-sy, and then it got a bit out of control.
So - here's the result:

They don't actually have an outline.
Thus why I did what I did - it looks great outlined. (Unfortunately the 9x9 boundaries didn't exactly agree, so that took some fixing. :V)

New colorschemes are going to come out soon, just put together one based off of the solarized coding scheme.

Can you upload a bitmap version of these tile sets? I don;t have access to photoshop so I can't just add the background color.
