Vherid, I have a personal appeal. It's not a request per se, I just hope that you may have time and desire to help me :).

Anyway, do you think you could make an ASCII tileset for the Wasteland/Post-Apocalypse mod? I really like your style so I hope you could find some time and will to do it eventually.

I like your plague tileset, but I want less non-ascii symbols :).

I have a few notes and observations about the update for you.

First off, I really enjoy most of the new graphic tiles you created, they are looking nice and sharp and the gradients are wonderful. As for the letters and numbers, I personally feel they could use some more work. I am finding them a little too rough around the edges and they look somewhat warped. I am finding it especially difficult to distinguish the lowercase "L" from the uppercase "I", and the lowercase "F" and "T" are somewhat difficult to read as well.

As for the dwarf tiles, they look very well polished which is nice, but I would have to say I was growing quite fond of the ones from the previous release. Those were the only non-bearded characters that I actually liked the look of, and I am somewhat disappointed to see them go. Also, I am not too sure what I think about the bogeyman tile. I have not had the chance to see it in game yet but it looks kind of like a shield doesn't it? Perhaps make the eyes and mouth a little more prominent?

Anyway, that was my two cents. I hope the feedback is helpful.

Yeah, I agree with Hanuman about the font + beards. The different personality is alright (although I prefer the previous one :P ), but inconsistent lighting + large dark area sends them into the background. Maybe try something like this?


That said, tree shading is sweet, as is the shiny rock thing (beside the hatch) and I'm pinching that stair-gradient idea right away. ;)

Alright yeah thanks, the faces were meant to be hooded/facemasked and such ill play around with those more, and the font was very experimental I was like yeah fuck it lets try Harabara. I'll change it to something else now.

That's the demon face, not the boogeymen face, the Boogeymen are the N's with ~ above them. But I just tried making that looking ridiculous I'll play around with that some more as well.

I'm pinching that stair-gradient idea right away. ;)

I like how you made the downward stair darker then the upward I might do that too.

I might start looking into ASCII-like sets. I've mostly run with really heavy graphic sets like Ironhand, Goldplated and Phobeus, but this is looking interesting.

Yeah v3 has been updated, different demon face, civy face, default 12 curses font, different barrel, might be a quick fix for the barrel coming real soon.

Wow, two things that jump out at me about this set:

The gradient on the water transforms it into a very convincing and beautiful wave.
Those double-box-tiles look spectacular indoors. I was skeptical looking at the outdoor screenshots but after seeing them as rough rock flooring it looks downright artistic.
