There's a more recent thread on this at: Sort Everything Every-which-way

I could see 'by weight', 'by sex', and 'by pen/pit/pasture/cage' all being useful methods of sorting the critters. As well as alphabetically-by-name, and alphabetically-by-type.

I see. Sorry I missed that! (I searched for "animal list", I guess that's why.) I'll go to that thread instead :) thank you.

Put it this way, you aren't suffering the Wrath Of Footkerchief[1], due to you doing what a lot of people don't do, by checking for a past thread before starting Yet Another <Foo> Suggestion.

The fact that you missed the Every-Which-Way version is no discredit.

I do see signs that various listings might indeed be overhauled (soon, or at least as one of the first major interface-revisions that arise), but additional ammo doesn't hurt (erm... unless it's actual ammo, in which case it might do) when it comes to encouraging this particular development to occur.

[1] Much better than Footkerchief: The Motion Picture, that came before, and also better than The Search For Footkerchief, that came straight after.  Then it is generally regarded is recovering with Footkerchief's Home (unless you're averse to slapstick situations and a 'comedy of errors' dialogue), worse again with The Final Footkerchief (where he initially seems to meet 'Toady'!), and then opinion tends to suggest that The Undiscovered Footkerchief was an interesting story development that provided a continuity towards the "Next Footkerchief" sequel TV series.  The death of a well-loved character in Footkerchief's Generations (whoops, spoiler!) didn't help the seventh outing to break the odd/even rule, which had been codified by fans before this point (and may have actually coloured some people's expectations of the later outings!), but opinions are divided over whether First Footkerchief or its two further 'old school'-based films continue to obey this purely happenstance pattern.  A rebooted Footkerchief, technically inhabiting an odd-spot, was going to suffer from the expectations of those that believed in The Rule, and as a reboot also may have alienated some fans, but we can't know for certain until the rebooted Footkerchief sequel comes out, next year-ish, and lives up to its even-numbered placing (in both absolute and reboot-only sequences) by being better received than the first rebootkerchief.

Haha, thank you. Also, that's very hopeful news! :)
