hammerfight is so ridiculous at times.

Arena mode, for lv20... three guys at a time, alright.
They get flak, missiles and giant exploding barrels, ok.
All 3.
And you're in that tall wooden arena  ???

What i hate most though, is that they explode on death. i think i died from that more often than their actual use of said weapons.

Simple solution: Don't kill them. Crush their health into the redzone, and then ignore them until it announces their loss.
Aerena seems to switch between two or three maps , so just restart if you got the bad one.

Any level with friendly units is the worst. No concept of friendly fire or self preservation those guys.

I agree. I've even tried killing them myself. It's more difficult than I thought.

I hit the ally in the first worm level more than I smashed worms, actually.

Also, the answer to all your explosion problems: Green gems.  If you don't have any, it's pretty easy to edit them in.

Why use green gems when you could use the other ones, though?

I'd be able to defeat that damned night demon thing in hammerfight if the traders didn't decide to get caught on it's claws all the time.

Because green gems are your get out of anything free card, and they're spammable. Armor? Who needs that when you can just activate a green gem and ignore any incoming damage. I think the only thing that can hit you in ghost form are enery attacks (which are veeeery rarely seen, and even then only in story mode) and other ghosts (even rarer). Both are completely absent in the arena.

....VVVVVV. Doing Things the Hard Way room. Is it possible?
This game is so infuriating, sometimes. Especially going back for tokens.

Where do you get the green gems anyway? I've only found the fire gems so far.

Oh ye gods, this room. It's possible, sure. Barely more than that, though.

It should charge right at you, so stay away from the airwormship.

I've gotten a lot from that grim hunt mode.

By the way, does anyone know how many levels the arena has? I'm up to 30something right now, and it shows no sign of stopping quite yet. Just more and more enemies, to the point where my scoring screen gets cut off by all the little fame and money head and coin symbols.

Guys, in Hammerfight I've been up to the Kelete boss for ages and I can't beat it.

The thing is heavily armoured and everytime I try to attack it one shots me. Sometimes at the start it will blow me up without warning. Did I mention that before the boss battle theres a really boring battle with robots that can take off most of your health if you screw up?

I started to play the arena out of boredom and got to level 20. It just got too much bullshit for me. Exploding bad guys, bad guys with guns that can shoot out explosions, bad guys shooting massive tnt.  The hell am I meant to be fighting that?

I've got a big two bladed sword and 4 plates of imperial armour that has got me through the game thus far easy. Now everything is wrecking my shit and I have no idea how to proceed.
Help me Bay-1-2-games, you're my only hope.
