They've done it four times now. The first one even had people PIRATING the Humble Indie Bundle from an unsecured link.

It's not harmed them and has, in fact, raised awareness of each of the indie companies involved. Which is more the idea than making money (although they do make a hell of a lot of money).

Don't you think they would've stopped after the first time if it was harming them?

PayPal does not charge per transaction, by the way. As far as I can tell, it charges monthly. So, yes, I am contributing by paying £0.01 for each of these copies, no matter how marginally.

I AM glad to see Linux users continuing to overrepresent, paying more than twice the average on average, for a bundle thing that has a history of not working so well on their systems. (at least most of the first didn't on mine)

And if one doesn't have the money, surely one mustn't take advantage of the kind offer of strangers, enjoy their handicraft, and then advertise via word of mouth.  If one is part of one of the underprivileged target groups, indeed, one should leave the playing of games to those who can afford to give out charity, rather than receive it.  Kind of you.
