S'alright. So, Kuji can't make it, or what?

I'm not complaining, but if no Kuji-no session. Obviously.

I wouldn't blame people for not showing up. It'll just be for RP and Contest purposes pretty much...granted, I could use a short session and get myself a real night of sleep. This works for me.

I can be there. Although if mainly prep for the contest + contest I don't have much to do.

I will show up for some prep, but I'm not going to just sit around all night if we're not doing anything.

On the other hand, we could do some battling practice in the metatime.

The only nightclass I have is 7-10 Tuesdays.

THIS.

I will show up if we can at least get into a battle or a practice contest with each other or something. I do not want to show up and spend the entire time begging people on the streets for berries and then RPing making pokeblocks or poffins or whatever. What I'm worried about is that I'm going to spend 4 hours doing essentially nothing.
Because...like...I already do that every other night.

There will be battle pratice. If Kuji stats up the NPC's Pokemon I'd use them as well.

Kuji is our mechanics expert. He knows the system, and Weird is GMing the story. Kuji is the guy with the numbers, rules, and dice rolls. Without him like Dwarmin says, there's basically no session. We could run a basic session with just Kuji and not Weird, as long as we just battle or do other things away from the storyline of the game, but it doesn't quite work the other way around. I suppose we can try with just Weird, but that's up to him.

What is making me rage like Lewis Black, is that this is the SCHEDULED SESSION. It's not like it was something special or unplanned. People knew weeks in advance that we were planned to play tonight. Hell, we played on monday, if you didn't want to play on wed, you could have at least told us. Not wait until the day of, and say oh, gotta go to happy hour, sorry. sgklaafghasgfalksjg(lewis black twitch rage)

Yeah, well...

I HAVE made it known that my schedule was on fire because I'm visiting my dad in California. The last day of this fire, however, IS tomorrow. I apologize for that.

If Kuji hasn't the time to stat up all of the NPCs pokemon, we could maybe outsource the job to someone not directly affiliated with the campaign.

Hell, I'm cool with statting out potential opponents for the other PCs to face if putting in a group effort towards ensuring that things are prepared will liken the chance of an interesting session that everyone can take part in. I'm no pro when it comes to breaking this game's mechanics (see D&D3.5 for that) but I think I know my way well enough around the system now to create competitive builds.
Of course, such an action on my part assumes that we aren't having some crazy 5v5 battles or anything as I can hardly expect to face people that I've statted up. :P

E: On top of that, I may have come off as a little harsh earlier. IN FACT, I'd go so far as to say I overreacted. I very much want to continue developing Isaac (and Lily!) as a character(s), and so even if it's just a small session with not much going on but pokeblock making I'm willing to take part, though obviously not for as long, if only for the RP.
I especially want to develop Isaac in regards to the other members of the team. He's still pretty nebulous as to how he feels about them, being new and all.

Kuji, just a curiosity, how late more or less you are probably gonna be? But anyway, it can be fun either way. We'd play a bit slower, I feel we can handle the system. Just keep the pdf open for reference, and refer to it. ALL THE TIME! :P

How about this:

AS SOON AS I GET HOME, COMPUTER WILL BE ON MAPTOOLS. And then we shall start the contest.

I keep the pdf handbook, as well as the dex, and my own character sheets open at all times while playing. It's probably not a bad idea at all for us to try and break this dependency on Kuji. Makes it easier for him to have fun, and we might get less GM conflicts where one says one thing and another says differently.

Bringing up the server, if anyone wants to log in to check things, edit pogs, or the like. Or if weird is around, I or others can make pokemon pogs and stats for him. You can easily have the group make you a pool of trainers and pokemon to save to your library then delete from the current maptools campaign. Then you can pull what tokens you like from that library and add them to the game when you are ready to use them.

Not that I want to spend the whole day making characters, but if it helps speed things up in the future, might be something to think about.

Okay. Plan is to stall with some pratice battles/character development until Kuji gets back. I'm logging on the server, though I will be in and out until the start time.
