I got the HPs... except for the ones involved in the OMG SAY YOUR TARGETS fiasco.

Can you guys please put the target down in your damage rolls next time? That would really be helpful.

Reducing all affected targets to half HP, as I'm doing this in class.

Haika, just a curiosity. How much did we lost again exactly with the crash? Don't your maptools autosaves?

My Maptools only autosaves when I'm logged in as the GM. So the last autosave, was right when HaikaGM version logged off, IE: when we were all at the start of the cave, before the encounter was even set up. The save I do have was the manual one for when weird was having connection problems, and I rebooted the server. So I see all the hidden pokemon when I load it up in GM mode, and we are still at the entrance.

Note to self: ramp up the difficulty next time.

I think the issue was that Yamask's aren't too offensive. Without another species of ghost to move in and out hitting us, they can't really do much damage. With confusion, and an AoE attack triggering protect, they barely even got a chance to use what damaging moves they do have. If you threw in two pet zubats that they were keeping, or something, and had said zubats move/attack/move so as to stay out of range of our attacks we'd probably have been a bit more damaged by the time we decided to call it a night. Just my two cents on the strategy they were using.

If you're talking about how Rock has it too easy...please don't ramp up the difficulty. As near as I can tell, he's, like, 10 TLs above us and I'd rather not have every single one of my battle strategies be "Hide and Watch Rock do his Thing!"
No offense, but I hate the character ICly and OOCly enough as it is.

E: I noticed that we have 20 pokemon seen on our dex now. Does that mean we get another TL after this adventure?

It's behind by a few pokemon now however. Like the ivysaur, tangala, and drowsy from the contest, along with the burmy, geodude, zubat, paras, kadabra, and yamask. Edit: noticed it has the burmy, geodue, zubat, paras, and Yamask, but no Kadabra yet(I know I scanned it, because Haika figured out it was psychic, even if that was kinda obvious).

We should only be a handful or so away from that next TL seen rank of 50.

And with the Zubat, Yamask and eventually kadabra owned we should only need one more owned for another TL level there if I'm reading that right and we get TL at 25 owned pokemon. If someone wants a burmy, or if I ever find that Dustox, we will have it. I'm also pretty sure we could find something else with the time we have left before the challenge. No one captured a geodude right?

Wait, does the Crawocnaw or whatever it is count as another owned? I think we may have a TL level already. Edit: hmm looks like Kuji already has the Zubat and Yamask calculated in, so we are still short by two, if we count the Croconawspellingfail and Kadabra to be.

Edit 3 or so: Kuji had the Croc in there already. Not sure why I thought it was a Feralagator already. So need 3 more after Kadabra joins.

It's actually a Croconaw. And yeah, it count as another owned for the team, and my personal count.

Ah, I thought it was every ten seen. But I just realized that I said "we have 20 pokemon seen" so honestly I don't even know what I was thinking at this point.

I'm not sure the Kadabra will count towards the "owned' list because you basically are trading your baltoy for him and the player's guide says that doesn't count.

In any case, I'm guessing there's something dangerous in the marsh badges (which are probably coffins or coffers or something, containing either a corpse/ghost or worldly possessions which will summon a ghost) so if my suspicion is correct we'll get another seen/caught from that.

E: I'm hoping that whichever Yamask I end up getting is either Bold or Modest. I guess there's no way to be sure of that though...unless one of you has a relevant feature?

The book paints it as "Currently Owned Right Now", was all I was saying.

The standard rule considers it individually for each player, so it has some details to prevent abuse.

For every ten Pokemon you obtain, you will gain a level. If one of Pokemon evolves, both of their stages in their evolutionary line will be counted towards this count. When you trade a Pokemon away, replace the Pokemon you traded away with the Pokemon you gained for this count unless you own two of the Pokemon you traded away. This is to prevent a party of Trainers from trading and then trading back, just to increase the count of “owned Pokemon”. (0-60 Canon)
For every twenty-five Pokemon you identify with your Pokedex, you will gain a level. This is not a shared total with all of the Trainers in your party. You must actually use your Pokedex, to add to this total. Pokemon are everywhere! Be sure to always Pokedex the new ones! (0-24 Canon)

Since we're doing a party count instead of a count of each individual trainer, it wouldn't be very problematic to allow both to count. On a sidenote, although it doesn't apply to this particular case, you don't seem to lose the previous forms of the pokemon when you trade it. And if we want to be lawyery, as it's written, you don't lose the count when you release a pokemon to the wild. Technically, since you're not trading it with a trainer, one could consider you're releasing your baltoy (temporarily or not), and also catching a Kadabra, which would allow you to keep count.

But either way, it's up to Kuji and Weird, lawyering up on technicalities won't actually help.

I'm NOT saying how Rock has it easy. That is a given. I'm complaining on how little EXP you guys are getting, and the only time I can justify upping your EXP is upping your level.

I'll fix the seen and owned count now.
