There are at least two no-shows, so no. No session today.

In other news, I am back in Vegas, so there shouldn't be any more hicks for sessions, other than me being less than an hour late for some days.

My connection is still iffy. I'm not sure if I'd run one even if we had everybody.

In other news, if we do end up having a full on dungeon crawl type thing. I would like some prior warning so I can build up a complete fog-of-war, vision capable map. The little scenes we've been using are fine for random encounters. Dungeon diving has so many more options.

Haha.

Also, prepare for new update today. That's what the hubbub is about in the IRCs. I wonder if it'll materialize this time...

I think most of the dungeon crawls will be voluntary. Just visit a Cave or Temple and Snoop around. I don't think I'm gonna railroad the PC's into them... For awhile anyways. When the party is stronger I might force one or two down your throat.

Oh, dear. OH, DEAR.

Everyone ready for the complete and utter rehaul of the Pokemon evasion system? And the moves? Well, sorry, but...

We're (okay, I'm) reviewing the changes of this version... but, I can say one thing. EVERYONE is required to update their move lists. (If you think you have it hard, I have to fix all the NPCs now.)

Wow, damage seems to have been gimped. At least for Chiyo so far. Confusion went from 4d6 to 2d8, while body slam went from 2d20 to 1d12+16. Feint changed from 4d6 to 2d8+8 strangely enough. Some strange changes here.

Confusion damage: 4-24 to 2-16
Body slam damage: 2-40 to 17-28
Feint damage: 4-24 to 10-24

And wow, they took away the weight class thing for tackle. Onix's suddenly seem less deadly because of size.

The range limits are pretty ugly now as well. If I assume those numbers after the word ranged translate into feet. Should be interesting.

Absorb got a boost at least, going from d8 to d12 on damage.

Ok, all updated on my text backup, I'll update the pogs when next we game. Speaking of... How's Monday looking for people?

Also: your weapons don't do what they used to. See the Arms Features page for details.

EDIT: Also, they changed a few things for trainers. Haika, since you're accessible, here are some things you should look at (copied from the Patch Log)

Psychic, Air Adept, Earth Shaker, Fire Breather, Hex Maniac, Rain Maker all have had updates relating to their HP Drained per use of Features relating to Moves.
Psychic Feature, Phasing, updated.

EDIT 2: Other things you should know:

STAB has been revamped.
Ranged Moves have actual RANGES. (Sorry we didn't start with this, Barb.)
Um... other things you should figure out (Frequency changes, notes on capabilities added with moves, ability changes,, OH JUST READ THE PATCH LOGS ALREADY)

EDIT 3: Haika, meters, not feet.

Let me review the changes. If damages have been reduced and they didn't changed technician, Hildebrand might be more interesting.

On another note: Kuji, we had a problem that we were to ask you about but seems we forgotten to. Can area attacks accidentally hit the other trainer, at least in formal or formal-ish matches?

Review scyther, technician did got revised, but so did the damage, so it's still very useful. (hey, I can do a quick attack that causes 2d10+5 damage... :P ). Trainer psychic attacks, specially confusion, have become actually practical and more in line with the elemental adepts powers (Now I just need to convince a psychic pokemon to come with me to able to actually get it :P ).

Yeah...in field battles, I'm gonna say anything goes, but in a formal, official matches, I'm gonna suggest "Trainer Energy Shields"-which protect you the trainer from direct attack as long as he doesn't interfere with the battle directly. Then it would be a tactical choice...

Really. I insist.
