If I can't complete the text till the time of the game it might be possible for me to play at the same time as I write and think. Lya would be kinda passive though (ehh, that sounded wrong...  :P ). The main problem is that I'm still thinking of what to write. I need to discuss the effects of the classical globalization and industrialization (XIX century up to WW1) on the inequality of gdp/capita of the countries, and the inequality inside the countries...

Hm... I'd host the server myself, but I know at least one person here doesn't know how to use Hamachi, and I have no idea whether or not the ports are open here.

I'd rather not have to use hamachi unless absolutely needed anyway.

Server is up, if anyone wants to pop in early to edit their pog or something.

Aye, I have Hamachi but it seems to cause my connection to be more unstable, and I've never needed it for hosting.

So, figure I'd make up a pokemon want list here for my character.

Alrighty, I've got Both GM's, and D in the server with me. Still around 2 hours to go until planned gametime tonight, but it's there if anyone wants to join us and chat.

As an Ace Trainer, I suppose Julius will eventually try to catch 'em all. In the mean time...

Basically: the players met the rest of the competition, the rest of the Streams (except for Max, of course), and learned about some of the island's traditions.

Lots of lore stuff.

 I saved the chatlog, so I'll send you a PM with the highlights if you like thatkid.

Or you could make a page of Desmond's journal right now. :3

Yeah, basically we had some lore, some drama, some npc meeting, and moved on to the contest. We got 800 exp from the one encounter, I'm not sure how much that translates into for spill over/Impromptu missing exp.

Also, we learned the Contest for the challenge is going to be Beauty Themed, and either Desmond's monferno, or your Litwick would make for the best contestant. We can only submit one, and the litwick has the most fire beauty moves(ember, flame spin, and will o wisp)

We'll, heres what I got so far for Monferno.

Quote
Flame Wheel=Beauty, 2d4 Reliable
[Reliable means it gains a bonus when being used twice in a row. Better as a finisher, when there is this less chance of giving someone a voltage boost, OR if we are last in score, and we can get two concurrent moves in a row from the order change for being the lowest.]

Fury Swipes=
[??? Couldn't find the description in the handbook. Maybe my eyes were too tired.]

Mach Punch=Cool, 2d4 Quick Set
[Quick set is the first one in the turn order. Could help if we get the lead, for a guaranteed small bonus with no interrupt chance.]

Taunt=Smart, Inversed Appeal
[Inversed Appeal does more when the judges voltage is lower or none-it's an excellent starter, and I'll want to start with it, to not give any voltage to those who go ahead of me.]

Ember=Beauty, 3d4
[Standard move]

For anyone that cares, contests are all about raising appeal with using the right moves, and earning the voltage bonus for using the right moves for the contest. It's a balance between raising your own points, and hoping the voltage bonus either comes to you, or you can direct it away from the person you don't want to have it. Also, you cant use any move twice in a row and gain any points, though you can get get voltage.

Sample.

First round, everyone uses Beauty fire moves. Judge voltage raised by *five*. On the sixth voltage bonus, that player gets a big bonus. You obviously want that.

Second round, scores and players order is highest-lowest. So, who ever earned the most points in the last round would get the voltage bonus if they went first.
