I suppose I don't mind him. He seems a bit abraisive for someone who is on TV. But then again, there's probably quite a bit of pressure there.

Pencils could be made with erasers at both ends, but what would be the point?

Nah. All the cussing was me taking his "unlikable by the contestants" thing a little too far. But then again... *looks at the kind of show you guys are on*. Anyways, I'm setting up a wiki for you guys, so you can keep track on stats/feats/moves there. Is that alright?

Seeing as it takes us 3 hours just to make a new pokemon...

I get the feeling we are on 'survival for dummies' Or somesuch. Lack of pokeballs, lack of healing supplies(potions and such), lack of sources of money or shops or the like, lack of pokemon food, etc etc.

Also, I'm fine with a wiki, but seems like that's just yet another place we have to input stuff into like the notes on the 'pogs' as people call them in this game. I'm already backing stuff up on my text documents, don't really need yet another place I need to cut and paste too, along with any linkage or wiki tech headaches.

Shellos could really be helped out by something like this move-I was thinking of it in the back of my mind as he snailed his way across the field.

Well, we'd have to have something use a bunch of speed increasing moves first. Right now my best bet is either carrying the damn thing or having Haika throw it around the field with TK. It's actually a fairly powerful Pokemon... it just happens to suck at moving.

Yeah, if Shellos could actually move, we wouldn't be Team Pussycats right now.

For the record, until September I also have Fridays and Sundays open, plus usually Monday. I would be down with multiple weekly sessions if everyone else would like to do that as well.

I will return shortly with the code from my macros, if you guys want to use my move template.

I could pretty much do any day other than Sat(that's when my other maptools game is run), as long as I have at least some warning. And maybe if we can keep the session from being quite so chaotic as it was.

While I had a lot of fun learning the system and game, other than the combat there seemed to be a fair amount of chaos and plot moving ahead very quickly before everything was understood. I kept having to ask about things, or try and find what was said in the scrolling text box. I'll probably get quicker on the uptake as I get used to the style of the GMs. But it seemed like I was missing things, and slowing down wouldn't hurt that much if we end up playing more sessions per week.

I'm the same as Haika-saturdays are taken up, other days open.

As for the game itself, I'm figuring it out enough. Much like the games it was based upon, it rewards blitz tactics-attacking first and fast and to your type advantage.

Also, you *really* have to be careful and protect your trainer, since roughly three or four attacks is almost guaranteed to be a knockout with the high accuracy of attacks, and our low level stats.

Yeah I noticed that as well, the gaming system has NO active defences at all. Dodging? Not in this game world. The only thing you get is a modifier based on the defensive stats, and that's usually not enough to even make a dent in most same-level attacks.

There are some class features and moves that can make you hard to hurt, but yeah, in Pokemon attacks generally hit.

There is one fairly effective active defense. Running. Perhaps if we kludged in some line-of-sight rules for ranged attacks we would be a lot more sturdy.

To be fair, Onix are tall enough to see around the rocks, so the only rules of line-of-sight you could have would only hinder you. The forest encounter... everyone was upfront, so it really wouldn't help much.

EDIT: That being said, we're working on a few rules. Stay tuned.

Hrm, while rather out of the random, here's some pokemon trivia for you:

Pokemon Ieru Ka Na? by Takeshi Tsuruno, the newest japanese pokerap(also the 2nd(I think) end theme for best wishes in japanese), is apparently the 7th most popular song on the Oricon(japanese pop music charts).

Also, for some reason, the singer in this music video for it, really reminds me of Mex. Just something that screams, he's pissed at the world even though he's singing for kids: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wgdTaYayz44&
