You wake up in a cell.
You are lying on a metal bench jutting out from the wall. Every visible surface is a dull, uninspiring grey. The side of your cell facing the hallway is barred, and you can see Laureli in the cell opposite yours. You can hear footsteps approaching.
You try touching the bars, but they spark and make your hands go numb, similarly to the last time you tried using your Alchemy. You jump back in mild shock just as Reymond steps into view. His face bears a broad, smug grin, and he is wearing a new forest-green cloak with an icon on it similar to the one on his former cloak, but vivid green, and missing the central point. He seems to take pleasure in your suffering.
"You know, I have to thank you. Bringing that woman back was a good idea. I mean, I could have just dragged her corpse here, but bringing her back alive got me promoted even further! Verte, second rank, baby!" He laughs and sweeps his cloak. "Ah, I'd love to thank you somehow." He shrugs. "Too bad your trial is in three hours."
Trial?
"Your lawyer should be here shortly. Good luck~" He giggles and leaves.
GOD he's creepy.
Laureli is sitting on the bench in her cell, staring blankly at the opposite wall. What do you do?
