You wake up to a very loud sound, not unlike the last sonic explosion you were near. Laureli is nowhere in sight. Though your field of vision is rather limited, given that you're inside the cave. You can hear muffled voices outside.

Negative. We don't want to draw attention to ourselves to potentially hostile targets if they don't know we're not there (and let us PRAY that they aren't. Also, we prayed before, but we totally have amnesia, so what are we praying to? We should totally figure out religion soon. Maybe pray to the two moons or something?).

I say we grab our knife and prepare to knife anything that isn't Laureli or Carver. If it's Laureli AND Carver... we'll burn that bridge when we get to it.

((Yes, thank you, I get it. I just decided to update because of... well, let's just call it a 'flash' of inspiration.))

You grab your knife, ready to defend yourself. The talking continues for a short while, then cuts off, and you hear two sets of footsteps moving towards the cave.

Laureli appears, badly beaten. Her nose is bleeding and her face is bruised. Her hands are behind her back - she's likely been handcuffed. Behind her is a man you don't recognise. Ash-grey skin and hair, vivid blue eyes, and a brown cloak similar to the one Laureli wore before the giant beast attacked, with the exception of a white pointed symbol _fleur-de-lis. Upon seeing you, his face lights up, and a very unnerving grin spreads across his face.

"So you're the Alchemist girl, eh?" His voice carries a faint hiss.
