I was tending to my fort when a bad customer came along:

Eslul Sotaeslul: An enormous humanoid composed of clear diamond. It has four long straight horns and it undulates rhythmically. Beware its poision gas

He somehow snuck his way into a major stair case, made himself known, then summarily grabbed a shiftless soap maker named Deler Lolorsemor by the neck and started squeezing.



I could only watch on horrified as I frantically ordered the staircase walled off on every affected floor, hoping that poor Deler could somehow hold out long enough for me to wall the infernal beast in. By an amazing stroke of luck we managed it, and tragedy was averted. I built Deler a nice monument and waited for the inevitable.

Steps turned into hours. Hours turned into days, then months, then YEARS

Deler would not die.



The lowly soapmaker's resolve had passed into the stuff of legends. A dwarf beyond pain, beyond hunger or thirst, beyond even breathing. It was his destiny to deny this monster his bloodlust forever more.

With a smile on his face.
