1st Limestone, Year 6
It's finally turned autumn. That means my time as ruler is almost up, and the projects I wanted to be finished still aren't done! gotta make some coke, produce iron, make more bedrooms for the freeloaders that'll turn up any day now, finish the catacombs... There's a whole bunch of stuff that needs doing, and I'll make sure it gets doed. Doed? Done. There, that's better.
21st Limestone, Year 6
Well, I was right. Incoming train of freeloaders. That brings our population up to 16. We got a beekeeper, a stonecrafter, a shitty weaponsmith, a spinner, a badass potash maker and a badass jeweler. I'm drafting those two, and firing Spizhaben from gem cutting as well. I don't want more screw-ups.
24th Limestone, Year 6
Goddamn those freeloaders! They ate up the last of our food supplies! I was sure we had a farm going! Retards must have put off building it to take naps all damn day! I need to get our new jeweler a mace so he can punish the idiots.
12th Sandstone, Year 6
Our food problem has been resolved until the caravan shows up. We've got to eat a cow, a horse, and a donkey. Deal with it.
Also, the farm wasn't going because nobody knew how to farm.
Note to next leader: If a farmer shows up while you're ruling, hammer then until they build the farm.23rd Sandstone, Year 6
Bedrooms have been started on, smoothing of the catacombs has started back up as well due to one of the migrants being an engraver. But nobody cares about that, because we're out of booze! We can't even make any more, we don't have any plump helmets!
12th Timber, Year 6
Caravan finally showed up. Damn, we really need food/booze. Hope they can make it to the depot without getting mauled by a cougar.
27th Timber, Year 6
The Liaison finally got around to holding a meeting. He asked what we wanted, and I gave him an obvious answer; booze and meat.
1st Moonstone, Year 6
Just turned winter, and the liaison told me what he wanted; hammers, toys, cloth, jewelery, ammo, tanned hides, and some other things. Hopefully we'll be able to get that stuff to sell them.
3rd Moonstone, Year 6
Shit shit shit! Apparantly, the merchant's animals 'can't carry anymore weight', and the merchants refuse to trade us anything else because of it! We couldn't even afford much of anything! Our food stores are at about 200, and a quarter of that is booze. I'm not sure we'll make it much longer because of shit like this.
7th Opal, Year 6
We're actually doing pretty well with such almost-empty food stocks. Our wealth has gone up quite a bit, thanks to a mass smoothing job. Amazingly, the goddamn catacombs aren't finished. Seriously, why won't these guys listen? To the next ruler, I also request a magma pit that we can hang people over if they disobey orders. Or we could just hang nobles over it, and 'accidentaly' drop them in. That'd be much more fun.
1st Granite, Year 7
My year-long term is up. The mass-smoothing project is almost finished, the catacombs finally are (aside from a lack of coffins), we're out of booze, and we, overall, had a bad starting year. Only way it could've been worse was death or a siege.
