Was going to wrap up my turn tonight, but time got away from me and I need sleep.
So I'll just leave you with some tantalisingly bloody pics!

That was way up the top of the map, where Endok was suddenly surrounded by a whole mess of goblin spearmen and pikemen, as well as a master spearman and a swordsman or two. He went on to dance around, completely untouchable as they literally swarmed over him, killing eleven, pretty much all of them!


And that was up the northeast corner, where I noticed too late that a young recruit named Erib was all on his lonesome as a band of goblin macemen charged up towards him. I fully expected him to die swiftly, but he went into a martial trace and managed to drive off the master maceman(?), then he took a bunch of minor wounds from the others before going into another trance, knocking the mace lord unconscious, punching another goblin's face through his skull and leaping onto another one and strangling them. Did I mention he was unarmed?
And by that time Yagor had showed up to kill a whole bunch of others as they fled from an unarmed recruit.

Yes, 'twas epic! We lost a few dwarves, but no-one really important, so it was a resounding victory!
Oh, and the goblin axemen down south ran into cage traps and the rest of our soldiers. They fled pretty quick.
In fact the whole battle was over before it really started, thanks to a few dwarves!

Sorry, Yoink, but you appear to have missed this. I'd like it if you just uploaded the save as-is, because you said you'd do it 'shortly' more than 12 hours ago, and this is the second time you've gone past the time limit.

I am so freaking sorry guys. My plan was just to stop screwing around, finish the turn and post without any fanfare, and that was going pretty well for a while, but... This fort is insane. There is just so much in it too keep track of!
Our military can pretty much mince any invaders into a fine red paste, but no-one seems to answer my requests for meals, everyone's getting hungry and I just can't find stuff easily... So if you want, I could post the save. Somehow I'm only in late summer and I've already had two sieges, the latest of which I just finished repelling with only... four casualties, I think, and only two of which were fatal. Oh, and Noodle had another kid.

I actually have several journal entries written, so no, I hadn't forgotten about this, it just takes ages for me to get anything done in the fort. And my FPS doesn't help either.
