You know, I'm sort of reminded of the guy who did that shooting in Finland a couple of years ago, barring the difference in scale.... is there a lot of underlying social tension of that sort (eg: popularity of far right movements) in the zone at the moment?
The underlying social tension is that the greedy, corrupt ruling governments made up of career politicians are allowing the mass immigration of violent, incompatible cultures into those countries.
This is turning large swathes of major cities into areas resembling the 3rd world hell holes those peoples originated from.
If everything was hunky dorey 'extremist white nationalist' organisations would remain fringe parties and everyone would continue in delightful political apathy
Not really, they are mad because there is no real social tension. Basically, right wing Christian extremist are despised by everyone, and they make a big deal of a nearly non existent insecurity. The number of assassination by capita is more than Four time less in Europe than in US for instance.
Our political apparatus is dysfunctional though, and education has gotten pretty bad in a lot of countries, with a steady decrease since the 70's, or at least that what every single teacher say.
There are problem with immigration but nothing out of the ordinary, and lot of peoples doesn't realize that we don't really have a choice : without a strong immigration, the baby boomer generation will be a real trouble.
But the greedy, corrupt governments (each to various degree depending of the country) surely fuck a lot of thing with right wing throwing our money at corporation and trampling our right, and traditional left wing throwing our money out of the windows in bloated project, nepotism, stealth corruption and poorly though policies.
Hence the current tensions in Europe.
