ok guys, so here's how my version of the Dawn of Worlds game will work. I'm going to freeform the commands each turn. for example, age one will be land or ocean, age 2 will be mountains or valleys, age three will be rivers and lakes, age four plants and animals, age 5 cavemen, age 6 tribes, age 7 agriculture, age 8 citystates, etc. I'm going to try and make up costs and specific rules for each as we go along.

Each player, I'm going to allow 7 beside myself, will get 2d6 worth of power points each turn. I'm not going to wait on people to say their actions, if you don't have an action by then, you don't do anything. But everyone will still gain power. Those who I notice to routinely do nothing will be dropped into an 'on-hold' status, keeping their current power points, and letting someone from the waitlist join the game.

Each turn I will post an update to a hexagonal map created using Hexographer's free version: http://www.inkwellideas.com/roleplaying_tools/hexographer/

Contested actions will make a simple roll for each person. The one with the higher roll succeeds, and the lower roll gets their action costs refunded. The GM's actions will always concede to a Player action, if the GM is playing as well.

Don't expect a bonsai tree to grow the miniature planting it.
Trust your calculator. It's something to count on.
Pencils could be made with erasers at both ends, but what would be the point?

Ooh, count me in.

Could you clarify how saving power points works, though?

If you want to save, you only need to reply in the thread with 'save' dosen't need to be anything more than that word. Then when I update the turn, and do the power rolls at the end, you get your normal roll, +1 point. It basically means you are trading in your action for a free power point next turn.

5 people so far wanting in, but I've gotten no actions from you guys. XD

Yes, you give me the numbers of the hexes you want to change and I will change them when I update the map, right now everyone starts at 5 power points so you can change up to 5 hexes at the initial cost.

Not really anything saying he has to spend his points. But it will get kinda slow if everyone starts saving right from the start.
